I am a happy, down-to-earth person. I don't get offended easily. I can't choose what other people say or do, but I can always choose my attitude about it.

What impresses me most in a man is his character (his moral values & ethics) more so than his talents and physical appearances.

I am looking for someone who can be himself. I'm interested in the real you, not who you wish you were, lol...seriously.

I do have a great appreciation for laughter. After all, the saying is "laughter is the best type of medicine."

I am very family oriented. God, family, & friends are what's important to me in life. I come from a large, close family. I am a full-time mom of 2 great kids. I love being a mom & wouldn't change it for the world. Also, I am a Christian and I do attend church regularly.


My main hobby is art...pretty much anything art. I enjoy spending time at home just as much as I enjoy spending time away from home. I also enjoy traveling, going to art museums/galleries, put-put golf, bowling, skating, etc. I enjoy being outdoors...everything from relaxing in a hammock, backyard b-b-q, camping, canoeing, playing baseball in the yard with the kids, fishing (not that I'm good at it, but I can bait my own hook, LOL),etc. Being spontaneous can be a good thing, but honestly having kids doesn't always permit me to be as spontaneous as I'd like.

As far as music goes, I like a lil' of everything; although, I tend to listen to more of rock & christian rock. I like trying new things. One thing I am interested in eventually learning is how to weld. My other goals just to name a few are: finish getting certified in medical billing, get certified in dental billing, get degree in accounting, buy 15+ acres preferably on the river (hopefully will do before end of 2010), build a house, hopefully find the one person I can share my life with, etc.

Concerning health/fitness: I do think it is important to take care of one's self. I do work out, however, I am a beginner. Just so you know, I'm not a "party girl". I haven't been to a bar in years. I'm not against it, I just haven't had a desire to go.

My favorite color is red. My favorite foods are steak and seafood. My second favorite food is pizza. To be honest, there's not much I'll turn my nose up to...I'm not picky when it comes to food. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, especially cake...yuck! I'm not a big fan of most chick-flick movies. I prefer movies that are comedy, action, suspense, etc. I don't have a favorite TV show, but I probably watch the sci-fi, history, & movie channels more. I'm a LSU & Saints fan. I also watch UFC. I LOVE Christmas movies and old cartoons such as scooby doo, looney tunes, garfield, etc.

I am confident, but when meeting new people I do tend to be a bit taciturn. The more I get to know a person, the more talkative I'll get. I am soft-spoken & laid-back. I have a "southern charm." I am also mature, responsible, and trust-worthy.

I do have old-fashioned values...I'm not very forward, at all! I won't ask a guy for his phone number or out on a date, etc. So, if it turns out you're interested, I'll leave the asking to you.

Although I don't care for mushy romance movies, I am definitely a romantic at heart. I don't have anything in particular that I like to do on a first date. My idea of what makes a good first date is just going anywhere that we can enjoy each other's company and talk / get to know each other better.
