These are some facts about me:

I get along with most people. I'm very honest and up front, often to a fault. I'm easy to impress and hard to know. I've lived in Portland for about a year now and I'm still trying to get to know the city. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I'm what I like to call a "socially functioning nerd." I like to read. I like to drink whiskey on the rocks and cheap beer. I hate all forms of celebrity obsession. I enjoy high minded conversation as much as I enjoy telling lewd jokes and making fun of people. I recently got my first 2 tattoos and already have 4 more planned. I work the night shift at a bar so I'm usually up until at least 4am. I usually only watch TV on DVD. I read comics and graphic novels. I have almost 8000 songs on my itunes which I constantly play on shuffle when I am home. I love playing the drums. I never listen to the radio. I like the internet. I love hockey and will be a Columbus Blue Jackets fan until I die. I'll try most things at least once. Oh, and I really really want to backpack Europe for a month or two.

Music: Thursday, Between the Buried and Me, Aesop Rock, Talking Heads
Food: Asian, Italian, Skyline Chili

These are some traits I desire / don't desire in a girl:

I like people with open minds. I'm long winded and a bit weird, so I'd like someone who gets things the way I explain them. I want a girl that doesn't get mad when I go out without her and doesn't call / text me every 15 minutes. I don't like girls that wear a lot of makeup. She needs to understand that there were things and events in my life before there was her and that they made me who I am. They need to be ok with the fact that I am a pretty big nerd. They have to have a passion for music on some level. No bigots, racists, or homophobes please. She has to be able to watch Star Wars (original trilogy) with me.


All relationships are unique. To expect romance is irrational and puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on a new relationship. Let's hang out first and see what happens on it's own without trying to force it.

Hang out. Talk. Beer. Coffee. Food. Park. Hockey Game. Anything where there is conversation involved. I don't think a movie is a very good first date.
