I’m one of the good guys, if I do say so myself. I’m definitely not a player, I don’t have the game for that and even if I did that’s not my style. I am looking for something real, something that can grow into a quality long lasting relationship.

Hopefully, you are still reading this. I know that first paragraph may sound a bit lame but after reading a bunch of profiles on here it seems that a lot of you ladies are being inundated with players, users, losers and liars. Therefore I decided to address that situation right off the bat. Now, of course, it’s up to you whether you choose to believe me or not. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and take what they’re saying as the truth until they prove otherwise. I only ask for the same consideration, if given the chance I’ll prove, if nothing else, that I am an honest person.

Thanks for hanging in there through some of that syrupy stuff, now let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. I’ve decided to come onto this site because I find it difficult to meet quality people out of the blue. Not to mention that I tend to be a little shy when it comes to initial encounters. Breaking the ice is often difficult for me when there is an attraction, I don’t know what it is, I guess it’s just the way I’m wired. However, once the ice is broken I warm up rather quickly and come out of my shell. Apart from that unfortunate part of my personality I am a very social, outgoing, fun loving guy. I love to hang with friends, have some drinks, laugh and joke, and sometimes just make a fool of myself. I also enjoy staying in and watching a movie or one of my favorite shows or reading a book. I’ve got to recharge those batteries, I’m no rock star and I’m not 21 anymore.

Please have a good sense of humor. I really have a difficult time dealing with super serious people. Life is too short to be that serious. I tend to believe that there’s humor in almost everything. That being said, I know that there are plenty of situations where humor has no place and I possess the ability to recognize those situations. Therefore, there shouldn’t be any embarrassing or awkward moments where people are over in the corner whispering “Who brought that guy? What a jerk!”

Being able to take a joke would be fantastic but if you can also dish it out, even better. I love the back and forth, the playfulness that is shared by being able to joke around with one another. I consider myself rather witty and often the jokes take the form of good natured ribbing or jabs at the expense of those I am hanging out with. So if you are thin-skinned then things could get difficult.

I don’t expect anything from someone that I wouldn’t expect of myself. I can definitely take a joke. If I couldn’t I’d be a pretty angry individual. My height has often been fodder for jokes made at my expense. I can laugh at these and I’ll often beat my friends to the punch by joking about it myself. So, now that it’s out there let me say this. Yes, I’m a bit short and I know that a lot of you ladies are looking for a taller man. So, if height is really important to you then by all means move along, no hard feelings, everybody has their standards. However, consider this wise old proverb: It is better to have loved a short man than never to have loved a tall.

So to wrap things up let me say that I'm not into drama or games. Divas, high maintenance girls, gold diggers, etc. are not what I’m interested in. I’m looking for a cool, down to earth, laid back type who cleans up well, someone who can be dressed to the nines for a nice dinner one night and then go to a ball game in jeans and a t-shirt the next and is completely comfortable with both.
