My interests include: family, travel, reading, movies. I enjoy going out to eat with friends, enjoying a good meal and lots of good conversation. I have five grandchildren who are the light of my life. I have traveled to Italy, Japan and went on some cruises. I have several favorite authors which include Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson, so mystery books are what I read most, with a biography or a historical romance in the mix on occasion. On Wednesday each week, a group of gals go out to eat and then to a movie. I like chick flicks, drama and action movies. I stay away from the sci-fi or really scary movies. I will listen to a few songs from any type of music, but my favorite is classic rock followed by contemporary country. A day spent in antique stores or at flea markets is a fun day for me. I really have a very large range of likes and interests and am probably not doing a good job of explaining myself and who I am.

A pleasant first date would be dinner and a movie or entertainment of interest to both such as the symphony or a play. Also a pleasant date could be meeting for coffee followed by a walk. The really important part of a date would be enjoying each other's company, sharing mutual interests and getting to know each other. If there is interest from both parties, moving from dating to a long term relationship.
