About Me
"Feels like home". I love those lyrics! They get me every time. 10 points if you can name the song, and way more if you can challenge ME!
My friends describe me as warm, expressive, articulate, energetic and often wearing a big smile. Kindness, warmth, integrity, playfulness and affection are key elements of my personality. I’d like to have an intimate relationship that mirrors the trust, support, honesty, depth, openness and communication that’s inherent in my close friendships.
Most of my pics are from my recent trip to Seattle - and it was Sleepless due to an odd turn of events, and there were 1 too many airport runs at 5 am!!! All was well though - bit of family, bit of friends, dungeness crabs in the market dripping in butter, sitting enjoying the lush greenery on Bainbridge with a glass of wine - and of course hitting the slopes - mixing 8" (that's 20cm ??) of powder with fog, making for QUITE a leap of faith. This year though I passed on sailing the next day. I'll come back when it's warm and sunny.
The way I see a relationship is like a friendship on fire, finding being in each other’s presence comforting, yet having the freedom to pursue different interests. Things such as ... enjoying intimate dinner parties with a few friends or large, casual gatherings of family and friends. (My friends and I decided the smell of frying onions is one of those comforting things ... shhh ... a necessity for many staples). So now you know I love to cook and I'm of a European background. I'd love to go swimming with someone in a warm lake - at night; or hit the ski slopes - you can do the moguls, I'll meet up with you at the chairlift! I guess it's all about balancing silly and serious!
To wrap to it up - I believe in keeping it simple, yet elegant. As the poem says - everything you needed to know you learned in kindergarten – share, and play fair. I'll look forward to chatting about any of the above .... and, I’ll know I’ve stumbled across a good connection when I feel playful in your presence.
