Ok so I'm not so good with the whole headline thing. I'm far better however at endurance sports, I love a challenge and I have a tendancy to take things way too far. I currently run way too many marathons race in triathlons and have two ironmans under my belt with more on the way. I really enjoy travel which is a bonus because not only to I get to see new places, but I get to race there too and use my racing as an excuse. This isn't to say that competing is the only thing I do, nor is it currently my line of work (though maybe some day). I currently work as a field engineer for a computer consulting firm in NYC, which while it pays well is not the world's most exciting job, though it does give me plenty of downtime most days (plus I get to get some reading done).
I have a tendancy to be a bit goofy, and thanks to my work I can be a bit of a nerd sometimes. In general though I'm aloof and sort of float through life , but how many people really know where they're going these days.
I love the beach, I go whenever I have the chance, swimming, hanging out and reading, running or just to relax and stare at the water, it's just one of my favorites. I read a lot, though most would argue not much of substance, it's just fun to get lost in book, especially when you spend a good chunk of your day on the train.
Anyways I figured I'd give this a shot as I'm not too big on the bar scene (as far as meeting people)and I've never been to good at just walking over to people and striking up a conversation, though I do enjoy listening to other's stories.
I've been in the area for a while but seem to live with blinders on lately, and thought this might be a good way to meet people. As far as a physical description of me I'm 6' tall 155 lbs, with brown hair and green/gray eyes.

I think coffee and long conversations are the best first date, so anything where you can hear each other and your mouth isn't full.
