This is not an angry rant, but rather I think some of us here need to hear some of what I'm saying. And you need not agree with any of what I'm writing here. I'm sure if you've made it this far that you know how to use your mouse and continue to the next profile. Nuff said about that.

Why online dating might not be for you.
Let's face it, some people of full of it, and Lie. That's going to happen wherever you meet Mr or Mrs. Pontential. Some of us have spent yrs in failed marriages and relationships to find that out. So with that in mind, I don't know how you can figure a person out with only having spent 1 date, or 2 dates to discover the potential between the two of you. Of course you don't need much time at all if serious conflicts of character surface right away. LOL. I'm not talking about those instances.

What you can control are your own individual Motivations and Expectations from the online dating experience. I've seen some very well written and thought-out profiles here, I'm sure they will eventually lead to what it is you hope to find.

You are in control of your own emotions, give a little get a little...but if you open up to the possibilities of making online dating work for you, then you have a world of opportunity at your finger tips. Try and match that on weekends, and business trips or wherever you meet people.

1st contact - Who expects to get some kind of a WoW effect in that 1st email. We all do. Sometimes you get it, but if we men are to polished or bedazzling then something must be wrong there. You can't go looking for Honesty, integrity, humor and romantic innuendo and see the worst all the time. Surprisingly, most of us are a little more open minded.

Finding love means taking a chance at being hurt. You have to take the safety catch off before you can shoot Cupid's arrow. When you stop taking chances, you're going to get yourself sidelined. Game over.

Fellas - Are you confused as to why you keep ending up in the Friend Zone? Know this. It's only partially within your control where you land; i.e. you eiether said or did something that gets you disquallified. When you eventually meet face to face, she's making up her mind within that 1st 3-5 minutes after she sees you. Huh? Wa? -- If she thinks that you've got a better chance than a snowball in hell of her ever sleeping with you, then you've got "Relationship Potential". This decision is rarely ever reversed. LOL. So do yourself a favor and cleanup real nice. That's not being shallow, it's just the science of attraction at work.
