Hello and welcome to my profile. I am back on the dating scene after an absence of a few years and am looking to expand my social circles, make new friends, and find that one special person in my life.

I am sincere, fun, friendly and kind. I have a razor sharp wit and am not afraid to use it. Expect oneliners and wise cracks often. I am conservative, and have conservative opinions (for the most part.) It would be nice if you were similar but its not necessary for me to like you. I am tolerant of other peoples opinions, are you? I am not very religious. I believe in God and all that, but don't expect me to go to church on a regular basis. Its just not my thing. IF it works for you great, but if you need more from me in that area I'm not your guy. Although we can still be friends.


I am looking for someone who wants a fresh start at happiness and love. I am optimistic, and you should be too. Pessimism is such a turn off. I am not naive enough to think that poof you meet someone and everything lives happily ever after. I believe you have to build relationships and let them grow. That is not to say that chemistry doesn't exist and that you can meet someone and get all weak kneed and have heart palpitations at how awesome someone is. I guess it takes a little of both.

I am somewhat old fashioned. I believe in Honor, integrity, That old Chivalric code. Although I also believe Chivalry has less of a hold in modern times. I am somewhat of a romantic in that area though.

As for who I am looking for, well thats harder to pin down. At its simplest I am looking for someone decent, kind, friendly, and that makes me smile. someone with intelligence and both a touch of class and a touch of the wild. A free spirit that has not lost the light that shines inside. Someone who has hope, optimism, and faith.

Ok if your still here and want to write a message here are some conversation starters. I have a dog a bassett beagle Mix named Arwen. I am a major history buff. actualy to be more specific I am a story buff and the best stories actually happened. If you ask me who the Marquis de La Fayette is grab a cup of coffee or tea or your favorite beveradge, sit down (well you probably allready are) get comfortable and expect to read a alot. In truth this might make a better conversation in person. Or you could look him up in WikiPedia.

I love movies, all aspects of it. I am currently obsessed with the guy Ritchie Movie Revolver. You should watch it. Seriously you should ;)

Politics always gets me going. If you are Liberal you probably should not go there. I should point out I have lots of liberal friends and some of them I debate till the cows come home. I try and reign it in for people who dont care though ;)

I was a diplomat for the USA for 48 hours when I was 16. I sang on a boat with Jimmy Buffett and on another occaision Tina Turner literally fell into my lap. True stories all of em.
