Look, I know what you're thinking . . .

"Hey, who are you?"
My name is Manu. Hi . I'm Indian by nationality but born and raised here - but I guess something went horribly wrong in the typical Indian upbringing and I naturally migrated to a personality that was shaped by more American values and views. However . . . that's not to say there isn't ANY Indian left in me.

"Uhh . . . ok, so what do you like to do?"
Well, my life has been shaped by music - hard classic rock is probably the best way to describe the scope of what I'm into. I don't look like it at all but I'm a metal head on the inside when I want to be. I'm also an amateur musician - I play guitar, bass, I sing . . . sort of, I'd like to learn drums, I record, and make my own music. I love going to concerts and I've seen several bands, but I'd definitely like to take you some day so you'd have to want to do that with me :-). (A few of my favorites: Metallica, Aerosmith, GnR, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC, Alice in Chains). I wouldn't describe myself as a pop culture freak, but I could definitely hold my own in a conversation - which I'd be totally up for. I also like outdoor activities like rafting, hiking, bungee jumping (see my second picture), traveling, etc., and I'm a huge Do-It-Yourselfer.

"Ok, so you're a metal-head-indian-defying-indian. But Manu, what about school??"
I just graduated with a Master's in Computer Engineering and I'm currently looking for a job. I'm fairly confident I'll have one soon because, to me, a career is about more than just being good at what you do, it's about having a passion for it. And I wouldn't mind trying to turn my hobby (mentioned above) into something more than a hobby in the future, in a few different ways . . .

"Hmm . . . what else?"
Things I like: dry sarcastic or evil humor, giving and receiving advice, the cold side of the pillow, a random conversation or an intelligent one, politics, a good friend, self control, being meticulous (MOST of the time), old-school stuff, a clean car, the feeling of satisfaction you get when you don't let life's curve balls get you down . . . phew, I'm out of breath.

"You, you you!! Is that all you talk about???"
No!! Calm down. I like a girl who enjoys the same interests that I have, like music, and some craziness like jumping off of bridges and out of planes. She should be educated, intelligent, CREATIVE and outgoing. She needs to know what she wants, and above all, know herself.
