About Me
Well Ive finally gotten around to changing my profile and now Im going to jump in with both feet and put out an all points bulletin to all of you and ask for your help. I have met some really wonderful people from this site and wish that we could all find that "special" someone we all seem to be searching for and Im still and will remain interested in anyone who would like to meet for some good conversation. My long term hope for myself however is to be able to find a good gal who is suffering from "chronic" Lyme as I am or who is suffering from another chronic illness which puts limitations on her life but still allows her to "have" one were she able to find someone who might better understand her situation because that person is suffering from illness himself. So, to all you wonderful women out there, if you know someone who is single and suffering from chronic illness and has given up the fight in trying to date.....direct her to my profile will you? Dont assume that just because shes single shes likely fine with it, Ill gaurantee you she is likely NOT fine with it and would welcome your concern for her.
Who am I then after having said all that? Well I consider myself a thoughtful and considerate well educated person who is both introspective and personable. I was raised on a diet heavy in philosophical thinking and have many intellectual interests. NO this does not make me a dour oh so serious intellectual with a constant furrow in his brow. I have a very good sense of humor (which one has to have if one is suffering from an illness as maddening as Chronic Lyme) and consider myself very open towards the views opinions and lifestyles of others. But I do take life seriously and feel that a life unreflected upon is truly not worth living. I enjoy getting in a good walk on the beach (no ticks on the beach!) as much as anyone, enjoy any good conversation, a lover of music of most genres, an off again on again movie buff (Im wondering if movies as a form of both art AND entertainment is running its course), an avid reader (though I think you CAN read too much), something of a foodie though not the greatest of cooks, and someone who really enjoys the quiet and peacefulness of the Cape inspite of the occassional feelings of loneliness all of us "single" ones can feel during those long winter months. My focus at this time is to live a simple life (but not one lacking in richness) and to attend to my Lyme. I am not in the place in my life to be able to pursue a serious LTR but I would seriously consider it with someone who is suffering from Chronic Illness herself.
For anyone interested in possible friendship or just some good conversation about life itself then Id love to hear from you. And for those that have a chronically ill friend who you think might be interested in my profile then dont be shy pick up the phone and give her a call. As I said, I bet you she would be grateful for your concern.
Best to you in your search!
