After a little (well, honestly A LOT) of friendly coaxing, I have found myself with a POF profile...

Well then. Where to start? I'm originally from Montreal - moved here 6 years ago. I like to think I'm fairly easy-going. I have a good sense of humour and I'm considerate. I'm upfront and candid and appreciate the same from others. I expect people to call it like they see it. Say what you mean, when you mean it and how you mean it.

I love: My friends, good food, great wine, feisty debates... Horseback riding on the beach, balmy nights, full moons, thunderstorms... Ironed sheets, argyle, men who wear glasses, licking the spoon, lingering kisses, steaks on the BBQ, shaving cream... Driving on an open road with the roof down, good music and a quiet passenger to enjoy it with!!! Now. Having said all that...I'm not without my many quirks and flaws and like everyone else, have good days and not as good days. I can and have changed a flat tire. Conversely, I can, and have, gotten teary-eyed during a sappy commercial... I know when to compromise and when to stand firm. I would want the same in a partner.

Update: Since joining POF, I'm beginning to re-think the whole "quiet passenger" bit. I'm wondering if maybe completely separate cars is the way to go? (I'm sort of kidding.) At the end of the day, all I want is that one guy, who wakes up next to me and thinks: Wow. I can't believe she's mine - she's awesome (and obviously, I want to be thinking the same (that I'm awesome, lol, you know what I mean)). How difficult can it be? Until then...my car is the outlet for all my affection (I'm affectionate, it has to go somewhere). On the bright side, it keeps me from getting a cat and becoming a crazy cat lady.

POF is not what I thought it would be. But here I am. Definitely a tad skeptical, though trying to reason that in the pursuit of something extraordinary, no stone should be left unturned.

Great conversation , laughter , wine , dinner...more laughter....more wine...(a little palpable tension would be nice)...go home and hopefully hit repeat.
