I am looking for an attractive, intelligent, like-minded, monogamous man, who has a sense of humor. Although I have a deep, serious side, laughter and joy are essential in a relationship, as well as in my own life and I have no trouble accessing my inner child. I am the kind of person that would prefer to be alone, rather than with the wrong person. That being said, I'm really not in a big hurry to nose-dive into a relationship. This doesn't mean that I'm not open to a little magic and pleasant surprises. I'm also not a fan of endless emails. I think it's better to meet in person, early on, after some interaction over this service. I don't really have a plan and I guess I'll just see how this works out.

I value my friendships and enjoy a social life, whether I am involved in a relationship or not. I love to dance, sing, laugh, get outside to play or just hang out at home to cook (and eat) a good meal and maybe watch a movie. Movies I've seen recently that I enjoyed are: Slum Dog Millionaire, The Visitor, Black Book and Deja Vu. Other favorites include Groundhog Day, The Professional, Kingdom of Heaven, American History X, Fight Club and The Zero Effect (I could think of more later). I especially love the beach, even though I don't have one nearby. I have a daily yoga practice, as well as a daily meditation practice. My musical tastes include world beat, latin, reggae, african, celtic and some modern rock that includes bands like Radiohead, Cold Play, U2 and more. There's music that I like from every decade of my life. I'm not attached to any particular time period, but I am always open to discovering great, new music.

I just recently completed a certification in a healing modality called Core Synchronism, which is a combination of Cranial Sacral and Polarity therapy. I am a spiritual and health conscious person, but do not follow any organized religion. I don't believe in pushing my spirituality on anyone, just as I don't want another pushed on me. In my personal relationships, I prefer the freedom to allow one another to be individuals and have the trust to be real. I see life as a journey and as a learning experience that I would love to share with the love of my life, when I find him (or when he finds me).

On the subject of children, if you have any, I do like them and I like having them around, but I don't really want to have any of my own at this age.

There is actually more to me than this profile (I should hope). I really DO know how to have fun and actually DO have a sense of humor, though it seems I have misplaced it while writing this profile, but I guess you'll find that out if or when you get to know me.

I just recently started studying ASL (American Sign Language) and really enjoy it. I'm looking at possibly getting a degree to eventually become a interpreter. We shall see how that goes.
