Something to ponder:

Ever heard the phrase “no one is an island?”

Everyone IS in fact an island. autonomous, self sufficient and independent.

The day you figure this one, you start to tour that island, see it's potential and limits, stretch it's shores, make it better and better, learn to know it as it really is and what it can become.
When you are able to be” by yourself”, self sufficient and whole, then only are you able to take sail.

As you progress on the ocean of life, you will encounter other islands: share with some, learn from other, obtain a new perception and make your island even better, more resourceful, growing.

This way, no matter how many islands sail away from you for a reason or another, no matter the storms you will encounter, you always remain complete and strong at the core. You will never lose anything, nothing will be able to bring you down, and you will be able to see that everything is temporal, and the time that it was with you, it added something to you.



After a year off the web: am back!

Am mostly here for the forums and for the few friends I made over the years on this site. So, If you're thinking that am here to found "something" or interested in dating or such; the answer is a huge resounding (insert "man falling off a cliff for 20 seconds NO sound" here): most people are far too nuts these days and yes. in a way I've given up.

As forum goes: I know, I know, am not that naïve: some posters are not completely honest, some are only looking to get a rise, some for pathetic pity, attention and/or validation, there is a couple of scam artist, and or course,a lot of them, well, just escaped their psychiatric cell (lol!).
To those, I will say simply: Unless you're dead and buried, you have full power over your life, so stop whining and start working toward your goals.

Don't get me wrong here: I will go beyond 200% to help anyone who is really and willing to work on any problem or question they may have; but for the self induced ones, the lazy, the liars or the cowards: I have no time and zero patience.

If the forum (cross breed of Oprah, Dr Phil, Idiocracy and Jerry Springer) is a correct and accurate reflection of the current human race: I weep for the future of the specie.
In all fairness, I also understand the lack of accuracy and the possible assumptions that can be made with this media...but I wasn't born yesterday either. ;)

Now, can anyone pass me over the popcorn? LOL!

I really do not care about popular believes or tendency: The same rules of manners, integrity and respect that we have in our daily lives DO APPLIES in the virtual world, no exceptions, no double standards! Therefore, not been exempt myself, and as am respectful, polite and civilized in the “real” world , I always answer every e-mails (well at least once, lol!); so drop a line if you have a question or even if you just want to say a friendly hello.(my only rule is that you leave the usual BS or games at the door)

For the ones that knows me, sorry to say that I have not return to host or co-host POF parties; I`ve done my share for several years, Entrance and 10% on the bar tab doesn’t pay enough for the hassle and am not interested into those anymore for many reasons: Tired of vain and superficial (fake) people and outgrown the bar scene are few reasons.

For the ones that do not knows me: am a non typical type person who value ethics and integrity above all. Smart enough to understand that everything is worth learning and experimenting and strong enough not to fall in common cast, mold or stereotypes. Am single but see nothing bad about that as I see relationship only as a plus, an enrichment and not a dependency or requirement.(so if you`re waiting for me to do a first move...you`ll die waiting) As anyone else, I have my fears and doubts, but never let them dominate me or dictate my life; I use them as engine and learning tools. Am also a big advocate of the pro active and direct approach of a problem or situation. In my personal life, am a simple and "common sense" person; maybe single, but happy this way!

I still love diving and skydiving and am trying to combine them with one of my other passion: photography; but enjoy also quiet and simple things. Am still using FaceBook and Window Live!, as I can display a bit more of my photo albums (only B stuff and lower), so do not hesitate to link or drop by there too!
