I've worked in the insurance industry for many years. When not working, I enjoy running, golf and a good bottle of wine. I like all kinds of music. For different moods there are different types of music. I will always like classic rock, but there are times when classical or jazz fits the mood.

I enjoy the old black & white movies, and I think Bogie will always be cool. Every few weeks I watch a Bogie movie and it's always fun.

I go to the gym, run and play golf, but I'd also like to get into cycling. Nothing extreme, just some nice long rides on the weekend.

I prefer to be around positive people. Enthusiasm is contagious, and I try to see the good in everything. I don't like reading profiles that list the reasons I can "move on." I move on quickly from those.

I absolutely love Catalina Island, especially Two Harbors (The Isthmus). I had a trawler for 10 years, and it is true that the day you sell a boat is one of the saddest days of your life. I will get another trawler at some point and I look forward to that. In the meantime, I still get to the island, because it is special to me.

I did not have any coffee until I was about 44 years old. Now, I just love that morning latte. I can't believe I'm "one of them."

Wine tasting is also high on my list. I've been numeous times to Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles and the Santa Barbara County wineries. I go to Temecula occasionally because I just like being around the wineries. Like Catalina, I find the wineries relaxing and beautiful.

I am a lifelong baseball fan; first in New York as a Mets fan, and now I follow the Dodgers. Dodger Stadium...terrific place to see a game. I also enjoy the Lakers. I still get a kick out of trying to hit the baseball after all these years, or shooting baskets at the local park. Can be humbling, but it's fun.

I'm always trying to improve my golf game. I've never had a bad time golfing, and never expect to. I wish I could play more often, but I figure golf is something that will always be there. I just want to improve a bit each year.

A great first date would be doing something on the move, such as a walk around the harbor, the mandatory "walk on the beach," or maybe a nice bike ride with stops along the way. Being restricted to a restaurant makes both people a bit nervous, so it's better to be out and about. We can always go to dinner on the second date if all works out.
