I am told that I'm just a throw back to the All-American 50's guy. I'm not politically correct, I don't cry, and I'm not really "in touch" with my sensitive side. I compliment a girl when she looks pretty (wrong to do now), I only see about seven colors (WTH is fuscia??), I eat red meat, drink dark beer, love big trucks/fast cars and I'd shoot myself before I ever walked down the "female stuff" isle at Wal-Mart. I guess I'm just the last MAN left. (Exceptions: I can cook, I clean floors, and I once watched "The Notebook", not by myself...but I did watch it so that counts.)

A guy like me may not interest all, but hey...no lady ever has to open doors around me. I've never cheated on a girl or taken her for granted. I carry EVERYTHING at the mall, kill ALL the evil bugs, spiders, and any other creatures she deems ugly and scary, open all pickle jars, always say Grace, still say ma'am, never order first, and always walk on the curbside to protect the lady I am with, as I was taught to do...

I've always believed in love, marriage, and commitment. I've recently started wondering if I'm looking for something that doesn't exist in today's world... Sometimes, I feel like Chevy Chase trying to get to Wally World....yeah...sucks huh? haha.

I've never been married, but I do have twin sons from a "trying to settle" engagement to a friend. I believe that being a good dad says more about a man than anything and I work really hard to be a great one! My little boys want to be astronauts so last year we went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, made two trips to NASA, and I worked to get them Congressional VIP invites to view Endeavour launching. It was awesome!! We really have a good time together just being boys. They have made me a better man.

When by myself, I enjoy being outdoors. I like being on the water in my boat, fishing, fixing up the horse farm I just got, cruising curvy MO roads in my sportscar, hiking the woods, or just about anything else that does not involve a couch, an airport, a conference room, or a suit ...although I am equally adept at those things as well. Yep, I am the guy that flies home from a business meeting in Prague then goes outside and cuts firewood...haha.

I have not dated for quite some time (by choice). I like where I am in life and who I am. I am content, but recently, I have started feeling like something (or someone) is missing. I don't go out a lot and I don't want to meet someone in a bar so I thought I would give this a try. It would be nice to have someone to share a dinner with or just to hang out with, maybe see a movie or go for a drive. Just take it slow. Any takers??

P.S.- 200 emails is 185 too many. Here it is in a nutshell...I work hard, have a great education, and take care of myself so I stay fit. If you think a GED is higher education, have never had a job and have no interest in ever getting one, or think that getting off the couch during Oprah to go get a Ding Dong is exercise, then we probably are not going to hit it off. I really do not mean to be rude at all, but I do want to save us both some time. Also...I like pretty....so curse me for being shallow, but it is what it is... :D I clean up nicely and I want the lady that I am with to be able to as well. I don't think that is too bad. Is it?

First date, just something simple and no pressure...I think a great SECOND date would be to go for a leisure drive and make a stop at one of the local wineries that I have yet to visit. We could have an outdoor dinner and some great conversation. Or.... if the girl was really special, I could try cooking dinner for her at my house. I've never done that so no guarantees as to the quality of the food...haha.
