I have finally passed through my transition state! Alive and well and living in Chicago now, with a new job as an Office Manager and freelancing as an editor.

I have never been a traditional "homemaker" nor have I been terribly domestic. I have always been a big city girl with a few diversions into "small-town" USA. But I'm back in the city and VERY happy! I do enjoy cooking and you would definitely be a benefactor of that, but not always. I miss dining out and would love it if you and I could have a romantic dinner some day.

If you are a man that can provide some security AND maturity, both emotionally and financially, I sure would like to meet you. I do have some requirements though ... and trust me, some men cannot live up to these ... showers every day are a must! Good hygiene all around. The basics. You brush your teeth in the morning AND at night, and sometimes even after lunch. You are NOT a heavy drinker and do not smoke. You don't fall asleep with the TV on either! and HONESTY is a zenith of mine. If you lie, you're out!

Surely there is someone out there for everyone. I have found love a few times. It doesn't always work out; we know that at this stage. I do believe we have soul mates but don't always connect in this lifetime. I believe we can love more than one person, but not actively at the same time, please. I'm pretty open in most aspects of life, but monogamy is a non-negotiable. Of course, at first, we will both be seeing other people. I don't want to jump into a relationship too quickly. I have learned too many lessons from this.

I have a quirky side that believes in metaphysics and Goddesses and dragons and faeries. I am not religious and would not get along with someone who is, but I am spiritual. You will understand this if you're right for me. When I have the time I like to paint with oils and do pen and ink drawings. I'd like to do more photography also. The past few years has found me struggling to just keep my head above water. Now that I am settled (back from CA a year and a half ago) and in my new job, I am sure I can find some balance. I'd like to include you in that equation.

A first date should always be short and sweet ... makes it all that much nicer to get to the second date.
