Hi. I've been out of a relationship long enough now that I'd like to date again. My pic is 5 years old and of course I appreciate other's having reasonably recent pics also. I'm recently retired and going a little stir crazy from lack of things to do, so I'm exploring new activities. I like to read (quite a bit), dine out occasionally, go to movies (the big screen and Netflix) and dance (mostly country and w.c. swing). I love dogs (I'm fostering a Golden Retriever. I attend church fairly regularly and am an open minded Christian, accepting of many beliefs. Music? I prefer beautiful music.

I'd prefer meeting over coffee or a glass of wine. A quiet, relaxed atmosphere would be nice, as communicating clearly and comfortably is a big plus. Meeting even for potential friendship itself can be awkward, given that it requires a healthy amount of chemistry and kinship to be worth pursuing. So I'd like to keep it light, so that we're each comfortable, regardless of the outcome. Re-reading my comments, it looks like my tone so far is a bit serious and somber but, believe it or not, I have a good sense of humor (but you'll have to give me a chance to try it out).
