So, the short of it is that I've always had difficulty meeting new people, as I don't like to intrude uninvited into a new group. Most of my college friends live in other states, at this point, and my local friends are few. I'd be happy to find some people on here who swim, hike, run, rock climb...anything active. I'm not big on just sitting around drinking at a party or bar.

I have been involved with the sport of swimming for half my life now. I swam competitively for a decade and loved it enough that I still get in the water when I can. I also coach for my old team, trying to give back some of what I got out of the program. I went farther in the sport than I ever thought I would; it's fun pushing my swimmers so they can do the same.

I am up for anything, but I do think it's good to start with something easy to see if we click. After that, I'd prefer something active over just dinner and a movie.
