I see these movies and think, "Wow what a crazy idea of romance that is." But then I look at my grandparents. My grandfather just died a month ago and he told me in September that his goal was to live long enough to celebrate this 64th wedding anniversary with my grandmother. Now THAT is romance. To still be in love and not wanting to leave your mate even after 64 years together. The number of years they were together is amazing enough, but when you add in the fairy tale beginning it is the making of magic. They only knew each other for 43 days before they ran off in the middle of the night to be married.

Please don't misinterpret my meaning... I have no desire to get married, but I do want to find a love that strong and steady. I know there is a man who exists who is as passionate and as loving as I am who belongs with me.

Yes I have been hurt before and it's taken a long time to heal myself but I am ready to dive back into the dating world and see if there is someone who feels the same as I do. A man who is as optimistic to find love as I am. I don't expect a miracle but I do expect kindness and honesty.

I am strong and independent. I have a child and cannot have anymore. I love adventure and road trips. I adore getting off the beaten path to explore new and unknown things. Some might think I am silly or strange but I enjoy keeping my childhood innocence. I want to see things through a child's eyes because they are always learning and absorbing the world around them. They see the best of people.

Please don't mistake me for being naive because I am far from it. I just want to find someone who wants to take this journey of life with me. Life after all is a journey and not a destination!

If I ask a man out then I will plan the date. I like different and new experiences. However if the man asks me out then I hope he has the imagination to create magic. Surprise me and you will be surprised in return!
