| | About Me |
| | World traveler finds himself in small town USA. What brings this 5 time ex-patriot back stateside you might ask, the desire to grow a garden and watch it grow. His only problem though is that he never read the guide book on where to go and meet interesting people in his home town. So that is what brings our protagonist fishing today. He has visited this pond several times in the past, but never dropped his line in the water. So today, surrounded by a sea of bad puns, he has decided to take the plunge. For it seems that American girls are not interested in eternally wandering guitar playing Gypsy's who roam the lonely streets late at night looking for a candlelit window projecting the silhouette of a forlorned damsel to serenade. The Renaissance men of today have been reduced to wooing women from afar (within 35 miles at least) and recite their prose for all the world to read rather than sweet whispers from a lovers lips. *WARNING* our protagonist is probably not this romantic in real life, and his chariot is a little rusted, so don't inflate your hopes. But somewhere between the sometimes bitterness of reality and the sweet tenderness of fantasy is a realm where we could possibly meet and soften the jagged edges that life sometimes points in our directions. |

The world seems to think that the more interesting we make our surrounding, the more interesting we are. But what do we have when our friends go home and we take the robes off? Just the naked truth of who we are. I am not speaking in the literal sense that a first date should be focused on carnal delights, but rather a chance to explore who the other is. Any number of arbitrary actions can be done while two people talk and search for something in common. The best would be visiting a cafe for coffee or spirits, while restaurants make it hard to talk since mouths have other things on their minds. The coming of spring could lead to philosophical walks in the woods or extended picnics in the park. Basically just something that would allow two people to talk and see if there is a spark between them. It seems impossible to really know someone when everything spoken between them is translated into ones and zeroes. |
