I enjoy golf, tennis, squash and most sports. I'm not a natural athlete, but I do not enjoy doing something poorly and am stubborn enough to work at it until I achieve some proficiency. I would say that I take a logical approach to issues as much as possible. I enjoy doing math and puzzles (particularly Sudokus) I can hold strong opinions, but maturity has taught me the value of tact. I enjoy comedies the most, but I also enjoy good dramas. My favourite movies are Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail and The Big Chill. I am not a fan of horror movies. My sense of humour can be characterized as "off the wall" and takes some people by surprise as I am naturally quiet and am serious about my responsibilities. I do like to tease friends, but am a strong believer that if you give it, you need to be prepared to take it. I like a wide variety of music, but can't sing a lick (but that won't stop me from trying). I would have to say that new country and music from my youth (60's to mid 70's) are my favourite. My all-time favourites are the Moody Blues' Knight in White Satin, Smokey Robinson's I Second the Emotion, Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart and the Dixie Chick's Not Ready to Make Nice.

I have no preconceived images as to what form a first date would take, but I would enjoy sharing a round of golf or a game of tennis followed by dinner or a dinner and movie. Some other outdoor activity would also be fine. I would not be a good candidate to go to the opera.
