I'm missing the flirty in my life! I have never been married and do not have children. I've been single for about 6 years, just waiting for the right guy to come along. I am a full time student and I'm very fortunate to be able to go to school right now and only have to work part time. My job pays very well and has excellent benefits so I'm able to support myself while I'm in school. I have a super close family and that is something that is very important to me. We get together often for family dinners. I have an older sister, a younger brother and two nephews. My parents have been married for 34 years and are a great example in my life. I have lots of things I like to do in my spare time when I have it. My favorite professor is teaching me how to knit this summer and I'm in love with the habit as it's something I can do at work while I'm bored. I also love to kayak with my dad either on the lake or the American River. I'm a pretty good paddler (even though I ended up in the drink on my last trip). My family owns property in Mount Shasta which we camp on every year and I'm a champion campfire builder. I love to cook and I'm pretty dang good at it, my chocolate truffles are award winning, my cheesecake is adored by all who have tasted it and my salsa is to die for. I love being outside unless it's over 90, then I melt. I have a very large yard that takes a lot of work and I feel like I'm mowing the lawn every other day. I also love going to the gym because it's the one time of the day that I can think about nothing. When I'm done with my degree I hope to go to law school or go for my masters in my major (political science) or just see where life takes me. I'm a devoted follower of Christ and firmly believe that the church should be a place of refuge for the lost and broken, not a program driven money machine. I have been searching for the Acts 2 church my entire life and feel that I've finally found one that seems to have the priorities that I have. I believe we should care for the poor and destitute and that Christ loves all people regardless of where they are at in their life. I am a blessed woman to have so many fulfilling things in my life, now I would like to find a man to spend the rest of that life with. I lose my glasses every other day, and can barely read without them. I will go through an entire day at work squinting at my computer screen and then wonder why I have a headache later. I bought a humongous desk off Craig's list and two bankers lamps to go with it because I like feeling like I'm important while I'm doing homework. I love paperwork and am always looking for an excuse to fill out useless forms. Conjugating French verbs is one of my favorite activities. I knit because my favorite professor knits and taught me how. I talk in my sleep and have had whole conversations that I don't remember.

For a first date I would have to say a lunch date or coffee is the best option. This way if you're not into the person or if they're not into you it's easy to get it over with and if you hit it off you can spend more time with each other. This way there's no real commitment and no one really has much of an opportunity to get hurt if the chemistry isn't there.
