It's so hard to decide what to say in these things. So I'm just going to ramble a bit and see if anyone likes what they read.

I like reading, computers, history, making things, thunderstorms, cooking, going out with my friends, going to plays, museums, parks, well lots of things. From forests, to caves to the beach after a storm, I like being surrounded by nature. This doesn't mean I don't like going out on the town. I do own skirts and heels and have been known to wear them. The napkin goes in your lap, not under your chin ;).

My family is very important to me. To me home is a place where you are always welcome. I have two brothers and no sisters. I'm also the youngest child and will freely admit I am a bit spoiled. I try not to let it get the upper hand.

My taste in music runs the gauntlet from classical to Irish pub music to Tom Waits to Stained. I love history and nature. I love going to the Phipps. I go to the museum quite often and enjoy visiting the zoo as well. I am a miniaturist. I create miniatures and have a thatched cottage dollhouse. I have two poodles and two parakeets.

I'm open minded and want someone who knows how to communicate. I think you should be able to talk about anything with someone you care about. Communication is important, if you can't truly talk about your dreams or desires with someone, then your not really with them. You shouldn't have to hide things about yourself from the person you love. You don't have to agree with everything the other person wants or believes, but you should be able to talk it over.

I love going to Renn Faires with my friends. I'm not a dance club kinda person, I'd rather go walk the trails or hang out at the book shop. I prefer to spend an evening out with friends at my local pub and listening to the band. I'm a bit of a foodie and love to cook. Unfortunately that's where the few extra pounds comes in.

I enjoy watching kids movies and going to the amusement park. I love riding the roller coasters. However, I know when to be serious and would like someone the same. Work is important to me, it puts a roof over my head and food on the table. It can even be fun sometimes. You have to take the good with the bad. Some days I'd prefer to go to the park, but I know that won't pay my bills. I guess the best way to put it is my parents raised me to be well grounded.

I like a gentleman, but I don't expect you to take care of me. I want an equal partner. You need to understand I have a mind of my own and can use it quite well. There are things you can handle on your own and things you need to be able to ask for help with. You should have things in common to be compatible. That doesn't mean you want a carbon copy of yourself. If that were true we could skip all this. As Tom Waits once said: "I call myself up and ask my self out. One thing, your always around."

So,If you can laugh at yourself and know how to just be, email me. I'm not looking for Mr.Amazing. I'd like to find a nice regular guy, who I can go out with or curl up at home and enjoy each others company.

For a first meeting, I'd like to meet somewhere for a drink, talk for a while. Get to know each other, then maybe go to the museum or a park and just wander around. See if we had the same tastes or interests, talk about whatever strikes our fancy. If things are going well, we can talk about what we'd like to do the next time we get together.
