Ok.. i feel the need to say this FIRST.. Ladies.. please.. please..since i'm really not stupid, i do understand that not every lady will find me interesting, but please...please..PLEASE..don't write me telling me that you don't think we are a "good match"..if you are not interested, please don't bother writing me back..since we all enjoy being liked, i really don't want to hear from you if you are not interested..please respect that & save yourself the keystrokes.. honestly, you really would not know whether we are a match until we actually met, & reading a profile on a computer screen cannot possibly measure the depths of my heart & character...& people are a match if they want to be..it takes effort..folks are not born matches.. but if you really feel as though you want to stroke your ego by sending a rejection out, i really find it quite annoying.. i am sure you have another letter from someone that might appreciate you wasting his time telling him "no".. i would get a clear message if i just did not hear back from you.. im not the pushy, pressure-you type, and i really make a considerable effort to be a decent person.. so if you get a hello from me, and decide not to return it, i will get the message loud and clear, and you will not hear from me again.. ever... with that said.. ladies, I'm not here to try to delusion you with some "i am the perfect man" stuff.. we all know that's crap..we are not on earth to be perfect..it's an illusion..i'm perfect if you think i am.. with that said, I am first and foremost a follower of and a warrior for Christ.. please take notice to the fact that i said that "I am".. that doesn't mean that you have be to in order to be my friend..I can accept most any religious point of views.. unless you worship satan..not really into that..lol..so if you are not really into the religious thing..it's ok..i do not preach to others..and im not the type to try to impose my point of view..i can accept most things without getting uptight.. i might say "god bless you" if you sneeze, though.. but if you can handle that.. keep reading.. well, in a very close second, I am a single parent, with full custody of my 2 kids that live with me..needless to say, my babies are my life...Those statements define every aspect of me. Everything I do, I do for my kids, and I do with God's guidence. I read once that children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior, and that is my goal in raising them, to train them up in the way they should go, I have lots of support from my church..hopefully when they grow up, they will be warriors for Christ as well. Christ is my oxygen, and the life he has given me is in my children. In the not-too-distant future, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, how big my house was, or how much money I had, but that the world may be a better place because my kids are christians, and that I was important in thier life...my deepest hope is that every day I can be a better christian, and a better father...with that said..i cook (very well - thank you), clean house...fix barbies..do homework, build weapons to keep aliens out of my kid's bedrooms..AND keep myself in decent physical shape....i'm still trying to ensure that chivalry still exists.. i love flowers.. unfortunately, I don't get enough.. lol.. but giving is actually more fun than getting..there is nothing more fulfilling than bringing laughter or a smile to someone's face...i love random acts of kindness..it really does feel good making someone else feel better.. again, just to bring a smile..I enjoy cooking..and eating..of course, at the present I only cook for me and my kids.. I am a sensible kind of guy.. sometimes a bit too selfless..unfortunately, that bites you in the butt at times...I try to be a good man..intelligent, and kind..I'm a family man..I try to "keep it real".. as they say.. i don't like head games..playing, nor being played...i'm NOT looking for f-buddies, intimate encounters, one night stands, or whatever they are called these days..& get this: im looking for one woman to be loyal to and love whole-heartedly.. i don't cheat, or live a life of lies..it's very disrespectful.. again, i try my best to be a good christian...since I love who I am, I don't have time pretending to be someone that I am not...but I am sensible enough to know that I am not god's gift...I have a hard-earned degree in Mathematics..yes, cogito ergo sum!(and so should you..) I believe in being rational, fair but tough. I appreciate the arts, jazz music, i play sax and piano, but not fluently (yet). I am somewhat adventurous..and, ok, i know this might be hard to believe - I'm of good moral character! I love sports, and sci fi..a good love story, or rags to riches story occasionally..i like art.. something different every once in a while..some adventure..certainly open to what my friends or partner is interested in..not too moody...life is extremely exciting to me, and i try to live each day to the fullest.. Well, before I tell you want I want.. let me say what i'm willing to give.. that's the real question, anyway, right?.. ok.. im willing to give everything for a good lady..there, that settles it..right?..lol.. ok, joking, but more specifically, I am willing to give back all that i ask for in a relation.. honesty..respect.. kindness.. patience.. understanding...dinner and flowers..random presents to show im thinking of you..etc..kinda the hopeless romantic type.. etc...I won't make the claim that "I know how to treat a woman"..everyone is different, but I treat EVERYONE with kindness, respect & understanding..that should cover most.. well, after chatting a while to decide if we COULD date..my first date would of course, start with flowers..first dates should be casual & public..a park, museum.. some outside event..so you can walk and talk..im not here to pressure you into anything uncomfortable..so first dates should be more like a casual encounter..with very little intimacy... since i don't drink.. i won't ask you out for drinks.. i kinda hate bars..most of the time.. on a hot day, ice cream in the park is great...a nice museum... probably to ensure (or prove!) the existence of intelligence or at least good conversation..I would be definitely be curious to see what interests my date..so I am open to many things..I love live jazz. I can enjoy most anything, so long as it includes good company, & intelligent conversation. Eventually you will have to meet my babies.. i have two, and we are one.. they are 13 and 11..
