I'm a writer, and I hope to do it professionally some day. Until then I'm happy to work a corporate job to pay the bills, as long as it doesn't drain my mind from my real passion.

I love to travel. I like to see mixes of the places I go, from the touristy crap to the local stuff you have to search to find. I think it's important to really see the world.

I also love movies, plays, books, and music. I love checking out new things, and watch anything from bad horror movies to dry documentries, mainstream comedies to serious film festival flicks, classic literature and pulp, lowbrow novels, expiremental theatre, and classic greek tragedy. I'm not a snob when it comes to these things, just really enjoy variety.

The thing you'll learn about me quickly, after noticing my boyish good looks, is that I've got a dry sense of humour. I'm usually joking, but I'm rather sarcastic,and people often take me far to seriosly. Basically, if you're not interested in cunning wit I'm probably not for you. I'm smart, and constantly learning, but I believe that means experiencing life, not sitting in a classroom. I'm laid back, taking things as they come, but if a project grabs my interest I quickly become dedicated to it.

When it comes to music, the lyrics are often more important to me than the sound. I'm generally not a fan of pop music that depends entirely on hooks. I listen to a lot of alternative, classic rock, folk, but there's no genre I don't listen to at least I little, and I'll give anything a chance.

On a first date, I to keep it low pressure. I wouldn't want to intimidate you with my suave manner and brilliance in a place where you felt trapped, and if you smell bad I want to be able to run.

I like to do a simple coffee shop. Some place where we can talk, where we can leave if it isn't working, or make other plans if it is. Best case scenario, we can talk for hours and plan a brilliant second date. Worst case scenario, at least I get a coffee, so there's a bright side...

So there it is in a nutshell: at least we each get a coffee.
