Me? I am just barely a speck on the planet, seeking another speck. But, he is gonna be the right speck for me. I guess I'm looking for a "helluva" guy!
Been told I'm an attractive, smart and kindhearted woman. My pics are relatively recent, from November '08 to present. Passions include jazz, all kinds of music and dancing, involvement with nature and recently learning more about indie films. I live on a creek by the ocean, and do all sorts of animal and wildlife rescue, while also attempting edible landscaping and fostering native plants to attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, etc.
Have spent a good deal of my past 15 years devoted to child advocacy. Also I've fost/adopted 3 teens, currently out of the home and in college. I participate in a business networking group and hope to soon join a local toastmasters as well. I was raised to be open to all spiritual choices or non choices, as long as the same courtesy is extended to me. My friends range from extreme conservatism to extreme liberalism, but all walk their talk and contribute to this world.
Not looking to fix someone or be fixed either, I believe I’m strong enough emotionally and spiritually to risk and to find/trust the right man for me. Told by many, I have a good heart and a keen mind and if you get NYC humor, I am always up to something :)
They say that sustaining sexual attraction rests heavily upon what can be found between the ears. I also would like someone who treats others with respect and allows each his/her own dignity--who directs from his heart. Got stomach? Will feed. Thus far, my most workable dating range has been ages 54-63. If you are a "persistant" milfer, BEWARE: I will call and tell your mother. I am not interested in dating you, no matter how cute you are, because I am looking for a "man". I have no age restrictions on my profile, so that other forum participants can contact me. In summary, I do wish each of you, the best on your individual journeys. I know, the coffee dates can get to be a bit "much". But, I'm still a believer in relationships. Margaret Wheatley, renowned biologist and organizational commentator, has recently ascertained that "relationships" are the lowest common denominator in all aspects of life, nature and society. I believe we are all in our bodies to learn, to serve and to love. We also need to receive love. I am willing to do "the work", but hope to be following the path of least resistance!

So, I take my coffee with evaporated milk and splenda. You? That is the first getting to know you meeting (after email and talk). A date will evolve--or not. For long term forum friends, that is another issue and we can "talk" about it later. For those looking for activity partners and companions, if we get along and like the same stuff, I'm game for now. Endless dating to find the right man, can be exhausting. Friends are good. However, no FWB.

 | I discovered this great lady on the forums and my instincts told me she was the real deal - wise, witty, full of spirit, always evolving, vulnerable yet strong, and with a heart as big as the world. It was almost as if I could start a conversation with her in the middle rather than at the beginning. I have gone through a couple of crises and she was there for me even if it was the middle of the night and she was exhausted. She cracks me up, comforts me, shares with me, and kicks me in the butt when I need it. I can get on her wavelength very easily. I'm a new grandma and she's a grandma-to-be. And we both love to dance. I get the feeling we are kindred spirits. If I could find her male countepart I'd marry the dude in a heartbeat. Thanks for being you!  | Ran into serenity in the pond a few months ago in the forums and has since become a great POF friend. While we live 3,000 apart, she has nonetheless added unfathomable value to my life. She is 1 of the most intelligent and compassionate folks I have met here. Without ever being negative or critical, she has managed to inspire me. Yes she has her battles to fight, but dont we all? And wouldnt you prefer someone who is straight up about it? I know I do. 1 of you out there has to track her down. For whatever value you think you will bring to her, you will get it back two-fold.
