Hi,
I'm an English guy who arrived in Montreal a little over a year ago. I've traveled around quite a lot and previously lived in France and Italy, though am now looking to calm things down and stay in Canada.

I work as a consultant within the Space industry and it was my work that brought me over here. Though it was a pretty easy decision to make, I spent a summer in Canada back when I was a student and loved the place.

Unfortunately my job can be a little stressful and I tend to work long hours so I prefer people I can relax around but know how to have fun with - guess thats the first thing I look for in a relationship as well.

My interests, music tastes etc etc are pretty diverse and I'm always open to new suggestions. Sport/gym have always been important and I try to keep as active as I can. Travel is big on the list when I have the chance, either just weekends exploring or going further away...

My friends and family are very important - though most of them are a long way away I try and see them when I can. Most of my friends also don't live in the UK either, which can make things more difficult, but does mean some great vacations...

A few random things:
1.) I have a policy to eat anything at least once. However despite this the worst food ever remains cauliflower... it truly is broccoli's evil twin
2.) Give me cheese and red wine to make me happy/calm me down/shut me up
3.) I've been shot at on two separate occasions, though once was kind of an accident
4.) I'm (apparently) a bit of a geek, though at least get described as a "cool geek"
5.) I like adventure, but do seem to attract trouble, however, I think I can talk my way out of most situations (an attitude that's bitten me in the butt more than once - refer to point 3)
6.) I have to do an olympic size ski jump by the end of the year to fulfill a bet I lost
7.) I was denied entry to Turkey for reasons that still remain a mystery
8.) Yes I'm English, but nope I don't have bad teeth - there are one or two of us out there...
9.) I want my last words to be "Wowww I really didn't see that one coming!"


ps. as a hint, if any of your photos have that pouty lip thing going on which seems very popular here, I'm probably not interested. Also if there's a photo of you taken looking in a mirror, especially if its from above, ditto.... all the best though :)

pps. have you noticed that everyone on this thing likes cooking and travelling? Makes you think the whole world would just get on far better if we just went on one big road trip cooking for each other...

OK, I don't like dates, never have and I don't think I ever will so lets just go out have fun, a few drinks and take it from there...
