I was married long enough to know what a relationship takes, and have been single long enough to know who I am.

I'm fine alone but believe life should be shared. I'm pretty much a homebody; home is my favorite place to be.

I love music of all types .... a good snuggle on the couch watching TV ...... dancing ..... computers ..... fishing ..... and learning new things.

I appreciate good conversation as well as being comfortable with no conversation at all. I love the outdoors but don’t spend much time there (preferring average temperatures, hating extreme highs or lows).

I am very open-minded and try to be non-judgmental. I believe that sometimes you just have to agree to disagree. Honesty is very important to me, as is a belief in a higher power. I love my children and grandchildren but recognize their faults. I am who I am .. but I know I will never stop learning, growing, changing or bettering myself.

I think people should hit within reasonable compatibility in 5 areas. Mentally, physically, spiritually, sexually and intellectually.

My mate should be OK with discrete open affection, be sure of himself and his convictions. Looks not as important as personality, who can appreciate an odd sense of humor and a jovial sarcastic wit. Is a bit old school in personality. Can carry the conversation at first onset - as opening small talk is not one of my strong suits.

Being who you are and allowing others to be who they are, yet both willing to bend and sway a bit to fit the puzzle together is important. Honest and open communication and helping each other to accomplish this.

A common goal of making the other person happy can have no outcome other than the happiness of both parties.
