I’m a mixed bag, a Heinz 57. I was raised by three women, so I have interesting insight to females. Most of my friends are female, that’s just the way it’s always been. I am socially conscious person. I have a different sense of humour and really enjoy people who are also funny or try to be. I'm sarcastic.

My interests take up a lot of my time. I enjoy helping people and being a part of a community. I understand people’s interest in helping children and families in third world countries, but there are a lot of people right here who need help. I work for the Canadian Forces teaching and organizing the Army Cadet Program. It’s a great program that helps lots of kids. It's also a little but selfish, I get paid to go mountineering, climbing, hiking, canoeing, etc. I also volunteer as a firefighter. I'm handy around the house and I love to cook (it's probably my greatest passion).

I don’t do the whole drug and party scene. I still like to have fun though. I have recently lost a lot of weight and I hope to lose even more. Eating healthy and being active is important to me and I hope to find someone who can challenge me and has the same qualities.

I usually date older woman, but thats not a hard fast rule. Maybe that's my problem? :)

Currently I work as Forester, but I am currently in the process of switching from the Canadian Forces Reserve to the Regular Forces. It's something I have always wanted to do, but my past choices have prohibited myself from doing that. I will most likely be a MARS Officer or a Bridge Officer in the Navy. The military is kind of a relationship killer. This is why I am looking for someone long term. I would like to find someone who is a good communicator, trustworthy, strong, independent, reliable, kind, gives undying love, and who has patience... you know all those things! I will most likely spend most of my career in Victoria, but at some point I will have to spend time in Ottawa and Halifax. Not to mention sometime in Europe and the US. Wanna come along?

There is a difference between the first meeting and the first date. Coffee would be a good first meeting. But I think it would be too plain for a first date. I like to do something original, something that will set our first date apart from the others.
