I am an honest, mature, intelligent man who likes to stay active and on the go, but I also like to slow down at times to enjoy life. I'm a gentle, respectable and loving man with old fashioned values, who likes to show respect, attention and affection to you. My father was a true gentleman and I learned from the best. My parents only dated one time, before knowing they were perfect for each other. Wouldn't it be nice to feel that way about someone? I'm not saying that there weren't tough times because there were. I watched them endure the bad times. They showed me that they were just small hills to climb. They were happily married for 54 years and I miss them very much. My father always said that he didn't want my mother to watch him die. He passed away just a few months after she did.

In a relationship, it is a top priority that we both feel secure and stable with no surprises, (only good ones). I learned alot from my parents while growing up and I thank them and thank God above for turning me into the person I am today. I learned alot while being married for 15 years. I was a good faithful husband and a good father. I'm not saying I was perfect, but I always tried.

I'm a dedicated and dependable hard working man. I love my career and do a great job of balancing it with my home life. I love to laugh, cut up and have a good time with my family and friends. I am pretty outgoing and have a very devilish side to me, so be prepared but I am also sensitive and understanding enough to know when to slow down and soothe you after a bad day.

I love my kids, but I need a partner in my life. I'm looking for a woman who is a true unconditional friend, a lover and a dreamer, someone who really loves life and doesn't give up on things easily. Someone who is committed and understands that sometimes there are small hills to climb. I want to wake up with a smile on my face every day, knowing the woman next to me has the same positive attitude as I, and want you to wake up knowing that you will never have to spend another lonely evening without me.

I'm looking for someone who understands that the "finer" things in life are great, they're the icing on the cake, but the little things are what make life wonderful... the gentle squeeze of a hand, the love letter on the bathroom counter, the physical attraction, flirting and teasing with each other at the family cookout and the wink with that devilish grin from across the room that says 'just wait til later!'.

It's holding each other close and listening to the pouring rain at night with the lights out so we can better see the lightning! It's the kiss and the 'I love you', waiting at the end of the work day. It's giving you a foot or back rub, or reading to you from a good book before we turn out the lights each night and it's the stroking of your face until we fall asleep.

A good relationship exists when we share our most intimate thoughts and feelings and understand what the other is thinking just by a glance. It's trusting each other with no jealousy and giving each other the space we need and allowing our true personalities to shine and not having to change for someone just to make peace. I don't want to control anyone, nor do I want to be controlled.

It's all those things and more! But most of all, it's hugging, kissing and touching that special someone everyday and knowing that right here is where we really belong, and telling and showing each other you wouldn't want to be anywhere else, ever. It's proving to each other every day that the grass will never be greener on the other side. I know it sounds like I want alot of things, but it's really not all about what I want. To me, it's mostly about you and your needs. You have to be content with your life to be happy, and I will make it happen.
