About me:
I am a 31 year old professional. I stand 5'10" with a athletic/lean build, with brown hair and blue eyes. I am definitely a unique guy whether that be for good or bad. I am paradoxal, I have many qualities of the classic introvert, yet I had a successful career as a military officer. I can be extremely accommodating at times and incredibly stubborn at others (I know what I don’t want). I hate hypocrites and inconsiderate people so I treat others the way I would like to be treated. I am not a user. I am extremely pragmatic. I could be described as very direct at times, extremely shy with people I don't know, a good listener, sarcastic, competitive, and a realist. It will take a while to get me and I definitely get better with time.

I believe in looking after myself and seeking self improvement. In addition to physical activities, I like to keep track of political/financial events throughout Canada and the World; it helps with keeping an open mind to things as well as an educated opinion. I hold 2 degrees and I like taking courses and would like to improve my ability to speak French in the future as well. I am fairly financially advanced for my age, I have refound a career that I love and make great money at it. I have been told by others that I am "a good catch", but that is for you to decide.

I love playing sports; hockey, curling, golf, soccer and ultimate Frisbee (although not the last two in organized leagues). I was introduced to squash recently and it seems like a game I could pick up. I know golf and curling seem like lame sports but they really are quite fun, and lets face it you wont be kickboxing or climbing mountains when you are in your 70s. I am getting back into the swing of lifting weights and plan to stick with that. I am definitely the type that would rather be playing than watching in all sports, with one exception being football.

One of the other things that I have major interest in is mechanical things. I am very interested in auto restoration / modification to drag racing and have been active in that more so in the past. I like strategy type board games, cards and computer games as well. Like everybody else, I like movies, TV, and music but none of them are dominant things in my life.

My philosophies for life: (1) Treat others how you want others to treat yourself. (2) Loyalty to friends, family and country, not corporations or brand identities. (3) Seek continual improvement in yourself. (4) Don’t settle for now, build for the future. (5) Pick your battles and don't sweat the pissy details. (6) Talk is cheap, but actions hold real value.

Pet Peeves: Celebrity worship, Fashion in brand. Extreme materialism and greed. People who cant admit when they are wrong.


What am I looking for?
In short, a complete package, She would be strong, mature, classy, very intelligent, possess similar interests or/and be strongly independent as well as having a good degree of initiative and ambition. She is interested in sports and exercises in some regular capacity.

I am not the guy that is intimidated by your intelligence, athleticism or your successful career, if anything I think those kinds of strengths are sexy.

I’m looking for an equal, this not only means that the sum of a your qualities is the same as mine, but you understand that if you want to be treated like an equal partner, you need to act like one and not only claim that status when it is convenient to do so.

I can say that if all you do for fun is go out to the bar/drinking and live for your summer vacation then I can say already we are not compatible. Also if you are defined by the guy you are with then you are also not for me.


You have made it this far, now are you serious?
I am looking for someone who will show some interest in me. Also a little emotional intelligence goes a long way. I am tired of women who are afraid to initiate a conversation on MSN Messenger and those that won’t put any effort into getting something off the ground and meeting me half way. If I contact you I will ask for what I want (usually IM Messaging or a photo), I can explain why if requested and expect that you will too. If you are not serious about initially conversing and meeting shortly there after then DONT waste our time. If you are interested but need some time to let something else resolve, let me know, I might be more understanding than you think. It is ok to be busy or have your own conditions, it is not ok to be inconsiderate. Nearly everything is negotiable and nobody gets anything without communication. Keep this in mind if you decide to communicate with me as my tolerance for games and BS is waning.

P.S. I am really not a hard ass, it is just that the internet changes the way people act towards one another and I am tired of people getting my hopes up and never coming through so now I take a very direct approach to this.
