| | I am recently divorced. I have one young (very young) child, who is the center of my universe. So if you don't like kids, there is no reason to keep reading. I am not looking for a new father for her or for someone to financially support us, she has a father and he takes care of her needs. I am currently in college working toward a Bachelors Degree. I have always had a good job (but it required a lot of travel) and been very self sufficient, now getting through college and getting job stability and family friendly work hours has become a priority. I'm not into the bar scene since I became a parent, so I figured I'd give this online thing a try. I would like to find someone who can have fun and enjoy life without being drunk every weekend. If you have now or have ever had a drug problem, I am not the woman for you. I really don't have any desire to date a drug user, mostly because I have no respect for drug users and I would never want one around my daughter.
I feel like I am starting my life over from scratch and making changes for the better (I hope). I have gone through many changes recently, giving up a long term job to change career paths, starting college full time, becoming a mother, getting divorced. I'm looking for someone who shares my interests, loves children (but I don't think I really want to have any more in the future), enjoys doing things other than sitting in a bar and drinking. Someone who would enjoy going to amusement parks, concerts, museums, zoos, movies, or just hanging at home watching tv or having a backyard BBQ.
I like all kinds of music, mostly country and rock ( the big hair bands are my favorites, poison, warrant, cinderella, etc.) I'm really not into rap, but I do like some r&b. Movies I'm kinda the same, I'll watch anything that looks interesting, but I love a good horror or suspense flick. I really don't like the super gory movies like Hostel and Saw.
I'm really not into a lot of the typical "girlie" things. I go to the mall on occasion, but I really hate shopping for clothes. I try to look nice, but I don't spend hours in front of a mirror everyday. I like getting all dresses up now and then, but I'm most comfortable in blue jeans and a tee-shirt. I wear make-up, but I don't wear tons of it. I like doing my own home repairs, and if I think I can possibly get it done myself, why pay someone else to do it. I'm not afraid to get dirty, but I am a bit of a germ freak. I like some outdoor activities, but I avoid woods and weeds. I like boating, fishing (but I don't touch the fish), golf (even though I'm not too good), swimming. Indoors I like bowling (again I'm horrible), shooting pool (haven't done it in years though), playing cards or games.
I do not have a lot of free time between being in college full time and being a mommy, but I would like to have someone to spend the little time I have with. I'm not expecting to meet a potential husband on here, (and honestly at this point in my life I don't see any reason to ever get married again) but like I said I figure this might be a good way to meet people since I'm not into the bar scene. I am not conceited, but I do think I'm pretty. I understand beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so some may disagree with me, or I may not be your type. I realize looks do matter to the extent that there has to be an initial attraction. This goes both ways, I am not posting a picture, but I will e-mail a picture if you seem like your someone I could be interested in. I should say I will probably not email anyone first. This is for 2 reasons. First of all, I am a single mother and there are a lot of men who refuse to date single mothers. That's fine that some men feel that way, I just don't want to bother you if you do. The other reason is that I'm a smoker, and many people are absolutely offended by people who smoke. Again that's fine, I don't want to bother someone who may feel this way.
