I am 90% hard working businessman and 10% kid. I can talk to anyone who has the ability to carry on a conversation. For those who don’t have this ability, I just talk slower. No person is beneath me or above me. I have quick wit and like a good pun or play on words.
I am not a couch potato! I like to go to festivals and outside events. I like all kinds of music and dancing. I can dance my A--- off when I want to. I like normal guy stuff, but I also like landscaping and gardening. I don’t like a messy house. I do all the things that it takes to run a house, so I understand a woman’s point of view when they ask for a little help around the house.
I don’t bar hop, but I do enjoy going out for a good dinner and some fun.
I can fix anything in the house and do. I used to be able to do my own auto repairs. Now, they are so computerized, the mechanics can’t even fix them! But I still do all the routine maintenance.
I own my own business and am blessed to be debt and drama free. I play a little harmonica and love music. I love to hear an acoustical guitar, especially bottleneck blues. I like Rock n Roll, country, southern rock, and the blues, but will listen to about anything . Well maybe not rap.. I have a wide variety of interests and read a lot. I have been into the "Green Movement " before it had a name. Alternative energies, sustainable industry and farming practices, as well as a few other interesting subjects. I’m not a fanatical tree hugger, but would sure like to see the earth survive for at least a few more generations !
I also like quiet dinners at home with someone special. Here is the good part! I don’t mind cooking! I grew up in Maryland and spent our vacations on the Chesapeake Bay. So yes I can properly cook seafood! I make killer crab cakes and like my shellfish steamed in beer with Old Bay seasoning. I guess you can figure out that I like to cook too. !!
I have been single for a while and it seems strange to be dating again, really strange to be honest. We have all had rough spots in our relationship and I am no different. But that was then and this is now. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My family has been supportive towards me and is a source of some of my strength. I have four sisters and one brother. What’s amazing is, I get along with all of them. Even though some don’t get along with the others. LOL. I have emotionally leaned on my family over the past year and they have been great.
In my relationships, I don’t ask for much, just mutual respect, appreciation and openness. After that, I can get along with anyone. Imagine that! LOL. . I like good communication in a relationship. Its how you get through tough times. Trust, respect and good communication are the keys to a happy life.

There are a few good people left in this world, but they tend to keep their head down, to keep from getting hit by all the flying BS! I am a happy guy and my happiness does not come from others. But happiness is no fun if there is no one to share it with. The more I can give away, the more it grows. We are not lonely, we are "Temporarily partnership challenged" LOL. I'm not beauty queen shopping , just looking for that warm and fuzzy feeling of that initial attraction. You know,.... it makes you want to know more.
I’m not to crazy about this electronic conversations, but it is a heck of a lot smarter than handing out my phone number to just anyone. Ask me how I know! LOL. It’s also hard to get the tone of a typed conversation, see a smile or hear a quiet laugh. I sure do miss and would like to have a basket of those again. I’m a pretty happy guy most of the time. I have lots of friends and family to hang out with, but its not the same as having someone special to hold hands with or look to the future with. I’m not in a rush for a wife, but I do want a stable relationship. You don’t have to worry about the bait and switch game either. I have been through that one myself.
A kiss on the back of the neck while waiting in line somewhere is golden to me. A hug while cooking dinner is one of those signs of appreciation that I need also. I want to be able to walk up behind her while we are cooking dinner and whisper things in her ear that make her smile and then blush. I want to help her fold clothes, so we can get that extra quiet time on the sofa or go out to dinner so neither of us has to cook or do dishes.
I think that perfect relationships are rare and require a lot of effort on both sides. The question is , How much do you want it and what are you willing to do make it work. If you don’t know what you want, you probably aren’t going to get it. Here is a strange fact about a good relationship. If the effort is equal , the reward is doubled. I am no financial genius, but that’s a good investment ! And ….I also hear the fringe benefits are very nice, if you know what I mean!! LOL Okay, Okay…. We are all adults here !!

A nice dinner and maybe dancing would be a nice first date. I would even settle for a good cup of coffee. But if you are more on the practical side, I can do at least three things on the "HoneyDoList" Maybe even four, if you promise to feed me.!! LOL
