About Me
My values are simple. I value honesty, loyalty, and honor more than anything; and being humble and respectful are crucial. Acceptance and understanding are a huge part of my personality. There are a lot of things that I do not do because I feel they are wrong, that most do. And I'm sure I do things that others would disapprove of. It doesn't mean that I think most people are bad or wrong, it's just not what I consider the best way to live my life. But, I don't think my way is the best way for anyone else. We each have our own path through life, sometimes these paths cross, learning how not to clash makes the crossings more fun. Most people think I am very religious, I am NOT. I just know who I am, and who I want to be.
I grew up in Gloucester VA. I do prefer the quieter country life, but VA Beach is where life has taken me. Sometimes I can be a pretty big neat freak. I enjoy pretty much any activity both indoors and outdoors. I like to have fun and surround myself with people that also wish to be happy, though I am fairly shy. I am not a party animal by any means. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good party. I do not like going to bars or clubs. I do have a drink from time to time, but I dislike beer, and I have no interest in trying to get wasted. I just like trying new flavors (which for the most part is not all it's cracked up to be), and having a good time. I have not, do not, and will never do drugs.
Music wise I'll listen to about anything. Growing up it was all classic rock and blues for me. And when I became older I spread to all other forms of rock, alternative, bluegrass, techno, trance, progressive, indie, etc. R&B and new country usually don't tickle my fancy. A lot of people say they listen to anything and then they get all disgusted when I put any techno or electronic music on. I do listen to anything. I just can't stand vulgar music, so that pretty much rules 90% of rap out. And angry music I can only listed to in moderation.
I am an only child, but I didn't have everything I wanted growing up....I had everything I needed. I spent most my time hanging out with my parents. I get my values from my family, and I value my family. I believe a hard days work makes a person better. In my family everything was do it yourself projects. So I'm pretty handy around the house. I enjoy fixing almost anything, and I can build what ever I need. From houses to computers to cars....which brings me to my main hobby.
I am heavily into cars and racing. This is my single biggest hobby. And by that I mean that I enjoy working on improving, customizing, and driving my car. I don't care about the latest and greatest show room car. I don't care too much to watch it on TV. I guess what I'm getting at is that I enjoy being involved in motorsports, not looking at it. I hope to one day open a performance shop, since I can never find a place that I trust. My toy cars are an 86 Ford Crown Victoria, and a 73 Toyota Celica, and the daily just isn't worth mentioning. I tend to focus more on the mechanical aspects, rather than the aesthetics. I attend autocross, open track road course weekends, drift events, and I don't mind cruising to the occasional show with some friends or family. I don't do drag racing, and I'm not some reckless kid street racer....most the time :)
First Date
I'm honestly not a huge fan of dating. Movies are for watching on the couch and falling asleep half way through, not getting to know someone. I'd much rather just hang out and have fun than a defined date. I like to go to unique restaurants (another pseudo hobby of mine) but would also like to do something entertaining (ie. billiards, foosball, pinp-pong, video games, carting, shows, museums, bowling, etc.).
