| | About Me |
| | I get my jollies on the forums. There are some great people there and I enjoy talking, arguing & fighting with them. I can usually be found making wisecracks in the science/philosophy forum. Considering that you can tell what someone is like by the heroes they admire, I'll tell you who hangs in my Hall of Heroes... Mohandas Gandhi (for showing us how), John Lennon (for making us "Imagine"), Albert Einstein (more for his humanity than his science), Albert Schweitzer (for his great love of us all), Voltaire (for his irreverence for the status quo and his sarcastic wit), Charles D¡ckens (for knowing us so well), Frank Capra (for being a more modern D¡ckens), Thomas Jefferson (for seeing the obvious, and warning us), Vincent van Gogh (for his raw talent and sensitivity to the human soul), Carl Gauss (not the nicest kid on the block, but a Prince just the same), The Dalai Lama (for his belief in compassion), Paul Potts (for his incredible gift) Andrew Wiles (for following his dream till it came true), M.C. Escher (for his unique perspective), Woody Guthrie (for telling us who's land this is) And Arlo (for reminding us), Lenny Bruce and George Carlin (for pointing out the lies we live with and by), Srinivasa Ramanujan (for proving there exist pearls left rolling in pigsties because we call them swine), Godfrey Hardy (for spotting a pearl), CHARLy (for teaching us the difference between intellect and happiness), John Doe (for meeting us and letting us join his club),Tycho Brahe (for his life-loving cantankerous nature), W.C. Fields (Who wouldn't love a guy who hates dogs & little kids?), Evariste Galois (for his utter passion - What a shame...), Martin Luther King (for reminding us of the view from the mountain top), Paul Erdos (for knowing who stole his socks & getting even by stealing pages out of His Book), JFK & Bobby (for trying to stop the suffering), Josip Broz Tito (for uniting his people and making them happy), Kurt Godel (for proving that sometimes truth just IS), Bertrand Russell (for the genius of paradoxically ruining his own work), Alan Turing (for being so mechanically minded), "Monsieur Leblanc" (for pretending), Georg Cantor (for looking infinity in the eye...and seeing it), Vladimir Putin (for his courage and fortitude) Joseph Merrick (for being such a beautiful child), Niels Henrik Abel (for being poor), Hugo Chavez (for being a Robin Hood), Salvatore Allende (for not giving in), Fidel Castro (for saying enough is enough), János Bolyai (for his independence), Dilbert's garbageman (for his insight), You (for being the true source of all genius and power and holding the fate of the world in your hands. You belong at the top of my list of heroes, because you have the power to turn Earth into Paradise, and you will, for all our sakes.)
If you have trouble believing everything I say, I don't blame you. Some of it sounds incredible and I wouldn't even want somebody to believe what I say just because I said it. Whatever I say should only be considered a jumping off point to embark on your own quest for knowledge. I will try to help you in that regard with a few little quotes & mottos that I live by:
"Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. What remains may not be the truth, but you can be reasonably sure you've eliminated half of the lies." - a garbageman
"First imagine...THEN criticize!" - a garbageman
"Justice does not exist as a law of nature. It is our burden to create it, insist on it, and to fight for it." - a garbageman
"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Gandhi
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
"If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it." - W.C. Fields |

A Date?...Oooohh...I don't know...dates are so passé. Why does it have to be a date? Are you sure you want to be seen with me? After all, you don't know what I look like. I'm not gonna say either, but I'll give you a clue...Ever see Charles Laughton in "the Hunchback of Notre Dame?" At least now I know that if you contact me you must be pretty serious, or pretty desperate! Hopefully you're pretty in any event; at least one of us should be and it won't be me! Hey gimme a break; I'm a guy! Would you really wanna go out with a guy who's "pretty?" OK, OK, I'm not really ugly either; in fact Mommy always said I was the best lookin' kid in town. You wouldn't argue with my Mommy would you?...Would you???? Better watch it if you would!! I get pretty defensive about Mommy. I'm pretty defensive about beer too (Get yer own!!) and I'm not so romantic as to save time in a bottle...that's where I keep my booze. So that should be your hint; if you want to win me over, I CAN be plied with liquor! Since you read this far, I'll reward you with a secret; I may not be quite the drunken wretch I appear to be, but promise me you won't tell the guys; they'll think I'm a web-footed sissy! |

JustDukky has 2 roses that can be sent. |
 | I adore this man. And when I say adore, I mean ADORE. I wanted to light candles at his feet, but he wouldn't let me, because he was afraid his robes would catch on fire.. Oh, well...seriously...he is a revolutionary, and visionary thinker. He is passionate, and stands behinds his convictions, and he is also well-versed, on a variety of subjects, that one might be challenged to keep up with. He was the first friend I made on the S & P forums, and all I can say is that my life has been richer in friendship, ever since...(I still want to light those candles, though...) |
 | JustDukky is as honest as the earth is round.
A very intelligent man.
He speaks... I learn. It's that simple.
