About Me
Okay, I'll try to keep this brief. I'm an RN in an ICU - I work nights and love it because I get to spend extra time with my patients and stay organized. I have always worked in the helping professions - first as a manager of an Alzheimer's unit, then nanny, then nurse.
I love to: read (non-fiction, novels, Newsweek - I like it all), cook (I really got into the local food thing this summer, can't wait to try a CSA next year), drink wine with friends, hike with my doggie, snowboard (after a 3 yr hiatus, returned to the Colorado Pass this year), have dinner parties, see a good burlesque show or catch Freak Train at the Bug, visit my family, and go to church sometimes. I like all kinds of music (especially live music), from bluegrass to hip-hop, used to play the violin a bit and still have aspirations of taking fiddlin' lessons someday. I enjoy traveling, although the only place I've used my passport for in the past few years is Tulum, Mexico. I need to check out Iceland, Australia, South America and all of Europe one of these days!
I'm definitely hoping to have or adopt a couple kiddos at some point, but I suppose the timing on that is pretty flexibile. I also want to pursue a Master's degree in the next five years and do some medical mission work.
I'm a positive person and have dated a wide range of guys, still friends with several of them. I'm just at the point where I want to meet a man who wants the same things I do in the future, I don't want to try to change anyone. So, I most likely need to meet someone who is at least in his 30's, but there are always exceptions.
First Date
I think meeting for drinks or coffee is always a good idea. Just ask me to do something, that's the main thing - we can figure out the rest from there.
