There's no good single sentence or even essay that can describe who and what I am. I could say that I'm a country boy who likes riding horses, swimming, fishing, etc. but I also work in computers all day long and enjoy that just as much. I like fishing but can also enjoy a museum or amusement park. I don't drink much but can carouse with the best of em (there's a song, not as young as I once was, but young once as I ever was that describes me pretty well at times). I'm old fashioned, like working hard and playing hard, and need to always be doing something, that something just varies from day to day. Here's a few more details though.

I spend a lot of time during the week at work, but when I come home I try and leave the work at work. I can do a lot of things ranging from watching movies, to hiking through a state park, going riding, fishing, or even playing video games, but I do need to be active. This on the weekends typically includes riding horses, hiking through the woods, taking road trips, or any of those activities. Sunday always includes mass, or at least I try and make mass a part of my Sundays - life sometimes gets in the way of that but god DOES come first in my life. I've got a dog and 3 cats whom I love and are part of my life as well. It's sorta like having kids already some days. I've worked in a shop and am comfortable building things or working with my hands, but I can enjoy playing around with electronics and music just as much. I'm quiet, to the point of being mute at times and can spend an entire day out in the middle of nowhere with just the sound of the wind through the trees and be perfectly content. Other days I can joke and laugh and keep you rolling in the aisles.

I'm an amalgam of so many different things that there's no one word to describe me - you just have to experience it to understand. But that's part of dating and part of life. Here's some things I'm looking for in a woman:
1) Gotta like living in the country. I'm looking for 10-15 acres out in the country, with room for horses and a shop. That kind of lifestyle involves a lot of work, and effort.
2) I tend to go for the traditional home kinda thing. I realize that may be really old fashioned, but it's the kind of thing I look for and want in my life.
3) Someone who likes animals - I've got 3 cats, a dog, and soon a horse. I plan on having a lot more in time ;) Of course, if I had a partner who liked horses, well, then at least another horse or two!
4) Someone who understands the value of silence and work. I've met so many people who think life should be handed to them with a silver spoon, who try and find shortcuts for hard work and dedication. Relationships are the same way - they take hard work and dedication, compromise and communication. There are no shortcuts.
5) Communication is critical. Note, I said communication not talking. I've tried dating someone who talked 4 hours straight and I think I said a grand total of 5 words - that doesn't equate to communication.

For a first date, I'd go to one of the many parks in the area, just walk around and talk. I'd also be up for a trail ride, a trip to a rodeo, dinner, or any other activity.
