I love to cook, and I can make a mean lemon garlic chicken. I also love to entertain people, and I try to have a theme party once a year. My favorite was the masquerade a few years ago- there was a magician, belly dancer, opera singer and tarot card reader- it was a lot of fun. I love music- just about any genre, though I never really got into country. My fav. band would have to be mazzy star. I love to read and some of my fav. books are: Flowers for Algernon, The Giver (a fav. since 5th grade), the Borgia Bride (I'm on this kick where I've been reading mostly historical novels). Another fav. hobby of mine is watching movies. Pan's Labyrinth, Fight Club, Virgin Suicides, The Squid and the Whale and Royal Tenenbaums are just a few of my favs. I'm currently in grad. school working on my Masters in Art History but still find time to create art as well. I make hats, jewelry, paint and draw- mainly portraits, and work in ceramics. I enjoy volunteering for causes in which I believe. Last summer, I helped out with Habitat for Humanity's Global Village program and went to Hungary to help build a house- we did the framework for a 3 unit townhouse. It was honestly one of the greatest experiences I've had, and I plan on doing it again.

Well the first date is about getting to know each other, so anything involving some interaction is great. I wouldn't mind doing something out of the ordinary but fun.
