About Me
Let's Get Excited, REAL excited!
"Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute, but set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life."
Sunshine, let the sunshine!:-) "WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET."
First, I want to emphasize that I work the late night shift, and that explains why I'm on POF late at night and into the wee morning hours! FYI. I absolutely enjoy exploring new and exciting places around the world! After all, there is an entire universe to see out there! I have traveled to some interesting places in the world, some of which I cannot disclose! It's been approximately one year ago that I returned home from the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom. War is ****--- Hell!
Long walks in the park are great for the soul and quite refreshing! I want to stroll in NY Central Park one day and feed those crazy pigeons! Photography is one of my favorite hobbies in the making right now. It's very challenging when you try to use a new camera and capture some one time only captures. Lol. My ultimate goal is to reach God's Kingdom of Heaven. Hey, I have to live in this world, but I don't have to be of it.... Read, read, and read some more! Although, I'm not so obsessed that I take an entire chest of books with me to the beach. Not in Hawaii especially!!! I enjoy traveling to different cities around the world and exploring different counter-cultures, including ways of life.
No, I am not a meat head/live at the gym type guy. I try to go to the gym 3-5 times per week and workout on the free weights/elliptical machine, except Sunday, because the gym is closed. It's part of who I am, and I do it to stay in shape and for long term health. Don't want to end up so out of shape it become detrimental to my health! Yes, I try to eat as healthy as I feel. If I eat junk then I feel terrible and vice versa.
My current goals are to pursue my FNP, PA, or CRNA within the next 2 years, or I might try flying for Arch Medical Transport or Air Evac. I already have a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business Administration. When I set my mind to something, I am committed and dedicated to the finish!!! Find a wife that will support me through thick and thin, til death do us part.
Music to me is therapy! I enjoy anything from "The Who, Pink Floyd, Bluegrass/Gospel to Handel's Messiah."
My friends consider me reliable, resourceful, and dedicated individual with attention to detail. The USAF has made me attentive and retentive about certain things that are important to me in life.
"We always love those who admire us; we do not always love those whom we admire."
-Rochefoucauld, Francois
Please, do not waste my time or yours if you are fake, superficial, don't have a job, or looking for a free ride!!! That means you must have a job/career or in transition! I want you to be independent and self-reliable, goal-oriented, out-going, and beautiful physically inside and out!:-)
Children are a wonderful blessing , and if you have any, they are a part of you and I accept that! I mean somebody's gotta wipe our butt some day too ya know....:-)
I like a variety of music from Rock -N- Roll; Classic Rock, R&B, Bluegrass/Gospel, to the Beatles. "She Wolf" by Shakira; "One" by Metallica! I haven't been to the new Busch Stadim for a Cardinals Game yet. Let's go now!
I'm not much on television sports. How about throwing the shot put, discus, hammer throw, or javelin. Track and Field is a real competative sport!!! They are true olympic athletes striving for goals. I enjoy reading, float trips, fishing, NOT hunting Anymore, beaches, blue ocean waters, sea gulls, tropical climates etc.
-Florida, Hawaii, California , and you guessed it, Sunshine!:-):-D
-Coffee and good interesting conversation.
-Laughing uncontrollably about the craziest things.
-Standing up for what's righteous!
-Cool whip; Salmon; swordfish; T-bone steaks.
-Botanical Gardens; pizza; chocolate; cool whip; sex; dogs; the truth!
As one of my great West Point Academy friends once said, "Matt, it's all about the stories in the end."
First Date
FIRST DATES: "You can't be late until you show up!" No, I've never been late on a date. That is rude and disrespectful in the least. Here is a little poem. I am a poet and didn't even know it, til you came along! I am going to pick you up after dressing up and scrubbing my pits with lather. The smell of expensive colonge, makes me feel all alone, my heart beats rushing along Then with flowers, we shall gather, on your front porch the dress is a capture. Off we going to a land nobody knows, into the beach lit bright with sun. Now growing old, the truth be told, our grandchildren will love us forever. For if you become blue, I will ALWAYS LOVE YOU! Forever and ever. Amen
I don't believe in movies on a first date. That's way to easy and blocks communications between people, and it takes the focus of you!! It's great to develop plans, but it's crucial to know that no plan goes exactly as it's supposed to. I am the type of person that can adapt to any situation should the need arise. I think its appropriate to meet in a nice public casual setting that's safe for both parties. It's more comfortable and warm! What is your opinion/input regarding this matter? I think that dinner on a first date is a must, because it can tell you a lot about a person including: their mannerisms, habits, verbal/nonverbal communication, etc. It's a great way to interact with someone and not be in a competitive setting.
