Born and raised in the great city of Chicago, been down here in the sunshine state for ten years now. Big-10 college graduate, mentally and financially stable, have a secure and practical day job.

At all other times I am a widely published writer and journalist. Have written for numerous local media including the T-U and Folio. News articles and reviews pay the bills, but poetry and fiction is the real artform. Currently shopping around what will be my third book. Love writing and performing in live spokenword shows around town.

Am not a sedentary bookworm, though. I live a very healthy and active life. I try to make some time every day for the gym. I'm no Mr Universe, but I do try to do the best I can with what the roll of the genetic dice has given me. I'm not looking for a Ms Universe, but I would like to meet someone who takes care of herself, someone who will "Rage, rage against the dying of the light" along with me. I like wandering public street fairs and sporting events, hanging at the beach, going out to hear live music, forays out into public to people-watch. Days off you'll often find me relaxing in the cafe at Barnes & Noble with a stack of new magazines or the latest hardcover. Into watching old/odd/obscure movies and have thoroughly gotten my Blockbuster Online money's worth. I got hooked on snorkling and kayaking in the Bahamas and would love to find someone who would like to do those things around here.

Looking for an intelligent person to check out what's going on. Sane, spontaneous, fit but not averse to the occasional midnight jaunt to Krystal. Laid-back, keeping things in perspective with the big picture, knows when to take life seriously and when to just relax and let things happen as they may. Interested in meeting someone who at least has an appreciation for the creative arts if is not in someway an artist herself. Wicked sense of humor, feels equally at ease (and looks good) in jeans and sweats or in formal wear in some snobby restaurant.
