First of all, you really must have a sense of humor or there’s not much chance for us! I also love animals so if you have a pet, that’s nice but not mandatory. I have a big happy cat, but I love dogs, too. I’m very interested in the spiritual and the metaphysical. Hopefully you will be as inquisitive about the universe and the nature of things as I am. I’m looking for someone who shares my same curiosity about the unknown and my same wonder and appreciation for what is known. I’m interested in Native American practices, and I often participate in sweat lodges. God has helped me out a great deal in my life; I can finally see some my life’s patterns clearly and much has been opened up to me. I’m grateful for what I’ve got and I try to pay God back by helping people wherever I can. I’m the guy who stops on roadways and changes flat tires for elderly ladies. I am a passionate, gentle, attentive and affectionate man and I am protective by nature. I love the outdoors and am out every chance I get. I love gardening and feeding the birds and the squirrels.

I stay in shape by working with a physical trainer 3 days a week and doing cardio work two other days a week. I’m working on getting in the best shape of my life. My trainer thinks that I have the genetics to possibly take up bodybuilding, but I don’t know if I want to go that far with it. I’ve always enjoyed training with weights, and I’m getting results on a regular basis. So that’s going pretty well! I like to get out and hike and bike and boat and breathe, but I’m not a health nazi, either. Gotta have pizza every once in a while, right? ? After the chores are done, I like to hang out and relax like anybody else.

In order to be honest with you, I must tell you my living situation. My dad died in 2008, and my elderly mother has Alzheimer’s. Not too bad, but bad enough that she can’t live by herself and take care of a house. So she lives with me. I have to give her a certain amount of attention every day, but she reads voraciously, and other than that, she’s pretty self-sufficient. But it wouldn’t be fair to you not to tell you that.

Pictures are all right for judging initial attraction, but meeting in person and talking and laughing and being frank with each other, now that’s the way to see if attraction is there. I think you’ll like what you see in my eyes and hear in my voice. So I hope you will let me at least meet you for lunch. I’m looking for a relationship between mature people with no game playing. We’re both adults… we’re mature enough to recognize attraction, and if one of us isn’t attracted to the other, we’re mature enough to say thanks and go our separate ways. I’m always a gentleman when we’re together.

Are you the lady for me?

For a first date, I like several things. Lunch or dinner, depending on the lady's taste and her level of comfort for meeting strangers for the first time. Going to Border's or Barnes & Noble for coffee and looking through different books together is a great way to get to know each other.
