I'm a native Texan and very proud of it. I know what you are thinking when you think about Texans and I'm about as far from typical as a Texas boy can be. Most people think I'm from Canada.

I love to travel especially if it's impulsive. There are few things more fun than going on a road trip with a little more than a few days planning. I enjoy driving around in winter with the windows cracked, which I know is strange but I'm ok with that.

I love music of all sorts (except for what Nashville calls country these days). I'm a huge Radiohead fan. I've traveled to see them in 3 different states. I like everything from indie to classical and throw in some good hip hop (I think Jay-Z is one of the greatest artists alive) and some heavy metal. I'm currently obssessed with The Avett Brothers, they are the only thing that has played on my iPod for a month solid.

I'm a big sports fan too. Hockey is my favorite sport. I'm a walking encyclopedia of hockey knowledge. Football is a close second though(I'm from Texas we are pretty much bred to play and love football. It's all there in Friday Night Lights).I'm a sports nerd which I will be turning into a career once I get my journalism degree. I have tons of useless knowledge about sports, even rugby.

As nerdy as it sounds I love reading. I worked at a bookstore for the employee discount. My favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Coupland, Chuck Klosterman and Christopher Hitchens.

I love to cook for people. There are very few things in life that make me happier than cooking for someone.

I'm the type of person who can get along with anyone. I will talk your ear off if you let me. I love tattoos too, even though I don't have any yet. Key word there is yet.

On a first date I just like to go somewhere where we I can talk to my date, usually over drinks or some coffee.
