My self-summary
I dont really know how to sum myself up.. Im an outgoing guy.. I enjoy helping others, and being involved in Fire Fighting and EMS work! I'm pretty Down to earth just living life.. if you want to know something specific.. ask!
What I’m doing with my lifeWell I graduated with honors from High School, spent my Junior and Senior year going to Votech for Computer Networking. Then I Decided I didn't want a desk job fixing computers or running cables all of my life and since higher education is a must in life, I figured why not go to college for a job I've done since I could drive, doesn't involve a desk and I love? So I set my goal on Fire/EMS work with good ol Uncle Sam flipping the bill... Anyways..
I'm in the Missouri Air National Guard.. Im a 3E951.. Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Weapons Response and Training Specialist including HAZMAT. During drills I teach the base how and what to do during a CBRN attack and also SERE training. SERE is more survival, escape and rescue if you would ever become a POW during an operation. On the deployed side to describe what I do, I'm pretty much the guy who runs around in a chemical suit and gas mask tryin to find out what just happend, what the bomb/mortar/RPG was carrying (Nerve agents, Explosives) and how to keep our people safe from contamination and warn surrounding units of the findings. :) Also I coordinate with local agencies during natual diasters (floods, tornados, ice) to restore power and shelters for local populus as well as terrorist incident response (Dirty bombs, Anthrax). Pretty well im FEMA/HAZMAT/Bomb Squad rolled into one.
When I'm not playing soldier, I'm back home workin on my EMT-B certificate. Working in the ER, doing First Responder Calls, or burning fossile fuels in the diesel guzzlin Ambulance. So if you're even in Pike County, watch out for those ambulances as there's a good chance I'm behind the wheel. :p
If I'm not doing any of the above, I can be found at our Vol Fire Department doing paperwork, truck maintence or just playing around. I got promoted to Captain in December and I love it. I'm not an authority junkie but when I need to get things accomplished quickly and efficently, I throw that red helmet into play and get it done.
In August I will leave to attend Mineral Area College in Park Hills to Major In Fire Science "Fire Academy" and Paramedic studies.
Afterwords my goal is to get on as a career Fire Fighter/Paramedic in a bigger district such as O'fallon or St. Charles and lead a sucessful career.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me are my eyes possibly? I dont know, most people dont approach me first, Im not sure if its my body language or what. Im told sometimes that I look as if I dont want to be bothered which is probably the case but I do make exceptions :)

I spend a lot of time thinking about all the things I want to do in my life and how I can achieve those goals. I dont have much of a social life with all the little things im doing now so that I can lead a sucessful life down the road, it's not a a fun thing but I guess it'll pay off down the road.
On a typical Friday night I am Studying my courses.. At the Fire House.. Working on the Ambulance or in the ER.. Heading to St.Louis for Drill.. who knows..
