of Italian decent and Catholic but not religious at all. i grew up on Long Island, New York in a neighborhood called Wantagh. i still have all my teeth, most of my hair, (a bit gray though), and still can drive a car at night. LOL.. things aren't written in stone here. everyone brings certain qualities to the table and i'm flexible and very open minded. would ideally like to make new friends and associates since i'm recently out of a long term relationship and need to network a bit. eventually would like to have a committed LTR with someone i find special. looking for someone i can live with and share a common home. a solid partnership that centers around love, devotion, admiration, loyalty, honesty, trust, passion, chemistry and good communication. not looking for someone who smokes cigarettes or cigars, is a heavy drinker, rides motorcycles, loves tractor pulls or NASCAR, drives a pick up truck, overtly tattooed or generally butch in nature. a good relationship isn't worked on, it's good because there is a nice fit to begin with. well, with that being said, i hope you all have good luck on this site and use it in good health.
First Date
i prefer to meet at a nice coffee shop, book store or even an ice cream parlor as a prelude to a first date. i prefer to have a quick 1st meeting to see if there is any mutual interest and then take it from there. if you think that's cheap, or whatever, then move on to the next profile. on a real first date i would think dining at a nice cozy restaurant with a bottle of red wine would be ideal. do you know what Dim Sum is? i like that too. any suggestions are always welcomed.
Take a look at this web page, it's for our troops overseas http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/fullmovie.php
footnote: When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush and the American Government. Powell answered by saying, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond its borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."
