Hi,

I’m a multifaceted guy with many interests. I enjoy being outdoors and have been downhill skiing for 30 years and scuba diving for 40. Much of my diving has been on the wrecks found off the Long Island & NJ coast. That said, I have recently retired from the local dive scene but would be most interested in an exotic warm water trip - think Pacific. I live in Queens just across the river from Manhattan and travel into the city for concerts, museums, and other interesting events that only New York City can offer.

Who doesn’t like movies? Science fiction is my favorite but I understand that relationships are about compromise so for enough brownie points I’ll see a “chick” flick with you. I enjoy live music in small venues and find myself at BB Kings jazz club most often. I have a wide taste in music and enjoy a little bit of everything with the exception of RAP, and Opera.

For my day job I’m the VP of operations. I also have my own graphic arts business where I market my underwater photography at local art shows. While I have many interests I’ve always felt it’s important to pace myself and know how to sit back and just smell the roses. I can hold my own in the kitchen and would love to find someone who thinks that cooking a meal together and catching a movie on cable or a DVD curled up with one and other on the sofa is a great way to spend time together.

Ultimately it’s really not about what you’re doing but who you are doing it with. It might be of interest that I do not follow any professional sports. Chemistry is certainly important and we’re going no where if it doesn’t exist. That said, what’s also important to me in a relationship is we allow one and other personal freedom. While the more we share in common the better, our interests need not mirror one and other. I’m not looking for a clone but ideally would love to find someone who enjoyed downhill skiing. We can have different interests and allow one and other the freedom to pursue them but eventually find time to enjoy each other’s company.

Still with me? I’d like to fess up and let you know that I’m really 58. I posted myself as a younger man so as not to be passed over by a search limited by age. This fib aside you will find me to be a very open and honest person.

As long as you’ve read this far, while I like animals (mostly broiled or fried), if yours is on a leash, the co-op where I reside does not allow dogs on the property so this would be a deal breaker – sorry.

I’m also looking for someone who lives locally. While flexible on this point if you live in the old Soviet Union or China, or any where else in Asia for that matter, don’t bother writing.

As long as I'm making a laundry list, one last criteria that comes to mind, your kids are ideally grown up and living on their own and your not intersted in having any more children.
