I live on the Western edge of the Northwest Burbs, been in this area most of my life. I spent 7 years in the military before beginning my current profession-which I love. In prior years I spent a lot of time working, which I think turned some people off. Things are a little different now, I don't work nearly as much, but do have to attend meetings and different types of training from time to time. I mention this because I try to remain as flexible as possible, but like some people I try to stay organized. Having said that I do tend to be a planner. If I meet someone I get along with, I'll usually go out of my way to find time to spend with them.

I can be too honest sometimes. Over the years I learned that communication is one of the most important parts of relationships (including work and friends). If you're the type of person that doesn't say what they feel or thinks problems are just going to go away, we're probably not going to work out for each other. I'd rather deal with an issue and put it to bed instead of pretending it doesn't exist.

I'm starting to loose faith with the women on this site. I'd be willing to get into a long term relationship with the right person, but it seems like anyone worthwile on this site seems to be waiting for the next "bus" to roll by. Keep waiting ladies and you're going to end up single for the rest of your life with 3 cats, no children and no husband.

Sorry if I sound a little bitter, I guess I'm finding out there are alot of fake women on here that dont really know what they want but think too highly of themselves to talk to certain types of people.

This really depends on the person and how we interacted prior to meeting. To be honest I don't really have a "typical" idea of what a first date should be. I'm not into the club scene anymore. I prefer local bars or hanging out instead of the club scene. Dinner, music, doing something outdoors, just hanging out, sporting event....I guess it depends on what we both decide.
