I'm a graduate student at UNC. I am somewhat reserved and shy, at least at first. I have a cat named Toast who likes to attack my feet as I walk by and beg me for treats. I am very much into baseball and follow the Reds religiously, which is a real shame given how terrible they've been the last decade. Last, I've been playing bass for nearly ten years.

I'm good at making people laugh, assuming of course that their senses of humor match up with my own. So if you're sarcastic and enjoy ridiculous random observations and/or statements, you'll probably think I'm funny.

Stuff that I like:

Books: Speaker for the Dead, The Stand, The Dead Zone, Lord of the Rings, the Harry Potter and The Dark Tower series (specifically Wizard and Glass), and Firestarter; Terry Pratchett books; various political science books (yes, I know it's lame).

Movies: Children of Men, Juno, American Beauty, The Namesake, Serenity, Crash, 12 Monkeys, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Wall-E, Casablanca, The Dark Knight, etc.

Music: Mostly harder rock, but also some funk and other stuff on the lighter side. Staind, Sinch, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Maktub, Greenwheel, Cold, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Audioslave, A Perfect Circle, etc.

Food: Thai, Indian, and Italian.

TV shows: Arrested Development, Firefly, The West Wing, The Venture Brothers, Battlestar Gallactica (the new one, not the campy 80's original), Pushing Daisies, Chuck, House, Law and Order, South Park, Family Guy, and Fringe. Among others, of course.
