I’m single, live south of Manchester and love this city for its size, multi-cultural diversity and its fantastic music legacy. Quite a place to be.

In my late 40’s I enjoy the odd night out clubbing but am more at home in a small but nice bar or restaurant where conversation can flow easily, without distraction.

Love live gigs, movies and exploring places of breathtaking beauty at weekends if only the local parks! Prefer the mountains or forests……

I’m a very active, healthy, positive person with a fairly slim physique as I like to keep very fit, training a couple of times a week regularly to do so. I work hard and have one adult son who just happens to be my best friend too. I have been single for well over two years now and generally like it. Having been single a few times in the past, I don’t rush into relationships but I now miss the closeness of having some-one special in my life.

I’m no player and I tend to choose my company carefully. As an educated man with a passion for living and learning I have a small and amazing group of friends who I am very close to. Strangers, I find, are usually a bit of a liability so I tend to avoid the buggers! As best as one can when working with the public!

Music and live concerts, computing, reading, long walks and culture are some of my interests. I like to socialise and meet others in the right kind of company and am confident, very well presented and socially adept. Pretty well travelled…………..mainly Europe, Asia and India. No tourist…..I make my own way….

My quirks are: I don’t eat red meat (it’s a long story) / I rarely drink more than a pint or two a week / I have a great sense of humour and lovely disposition! It’s true! / I am a reformed smoker but have no problem with others smoking occasionally / I rarely watch TV but love a good film / I love to share a bottle of red wine once in a while but get tipsy pretty easily! Food usually helps counter this. / Don’t know a thing about cars or soccer / Love nature and countryside……..

I would love to meet one lovely lady for friendship and possibly a relationship.
