I am an upbeat, somewhat high-strung person that believes smiling is contagious. I root for the underdog, cry at sad commercials and truly believe that good friends and family really are the key to sanity in a totally insane world. I will put forth an extra effort to see my friends because of the energy it gives me. I believe actions speak far louder than words, and that laughing off stress is a good way to manage it. I love my job; however I work to live, not live to work. I consider myself a "foodie" but can treat turkey clubs and pizza as gourmet, especially when paired with a great glass of wine. I will never be considered a wallflower and am only too happy to re-tell stories about some of the interesting characters I've encountered over the years. I know that a half-truth really does equal a whole lie, but I fully trust the important people in my life until I have reason not to. I think confidence is sexy but arrogance is extremely unattractive; unfortunately, the latter often think of themselves as the former. I'm all too aware that laughing at yourself daily to appreciate the important stuff is a necessity not just for laughs but also for humility. I feel and practice that to have good friends, you have to be a good friend. Occasionally, retail therapy really does work even if it's not a cure. I love children but I am not interested in dating someone with them (too many friends having dealt with crazy ex's)... And if your children are "grown up" then you're most likely too old for me (sorry not looking for a sugar daddy)... And most importantly, it seems that life goes by way too fast... so take too many pictures, dance like no one's watching, laugh too hard, and love like you've never been hurt.
