I am testing the waters after 17 years of marriage and it's very, very scary. I would love to meet someone by "bumping" into them, through friends or family, or just by chance, but in today's world it isn't that easy. I'm somewhat shy utnil I get to know you, although my friends would tell you different! I enjoy kayaking and swimming, potography, projects in and outside the home and actually just "doin' nothing"! It's difficult writing about yourself, especially when you aren't comfortable in this type of setting. I hope to meet someone where there is attraction on both sides and see what develops. I firmly believe you have to be friends first and chemistry is very important. Normally, the first meeting we both will know one way or the other whether there is something to pursue. I'm not sure if I want to marry again, time will take care of that, but I do know I want a special man in my life to sit and talk with, goof off with, enjoy each others company, watch TV, and to just "be" with each other in the same room, yet doing different things. I miss sharing my life with someone and hopefully I will meet my future mate. I am not into playing games, being dishonest with my partner, or cheating on them. I give 100+ percent to a relationship and expect that in return. Maybe in this day and age I'm expecting a lot, but it's not like we're in our 20's or 30's any more. My ideal "first" date would be to meet on neutral grounds. That's safe and more secure for both parties. Don't be afraid to tell me if you are not interested, it won't hurt my feelings. If things go well, that's great, if not, we've both spent some time together and shared good times.
